The culinary experience in japan was phenomenal. I was told that Takayama was famous for their countryside, homegrown “Hida” beef. It was not until I came across a lil food stand that served this miraculously-marveled piece of meat that I truly understood. The nigiri was slightly seared to highlight the richness of the beef. It was so delicate yet full of flavor, especially paired with the dab of fresh wasabi. Ugh I miss japan already.
