In the late 1970s, the development of factory-made, frozen, pre-formed but unbaked dough made them into a fast food which can be freshly baked by unskilled labor. The croissanterie was explicitly a French response to American-style fast food, and as of 2008 30–40% of the croissants sold in French bakeries and patisseries were baked from frozen dough. ☀️ What if you woke up on a Monday and decided to just love yourself a little bit more? I did. Today despite being busy and having the kind of to do list that could easily tip me, headfirst, into anxiety; I’m concentrating on what I have already, not what I should be or do to achieve more. I’m concentrating on starting my day right, nourishing myself and taking a moment to prepare for the week rather than hurtling into it. I’m owning my tasks this week. They’re not owning me. And I’m reaching my goals by focusing on the process, rather than the outcome alone. Self care is deffo the way forward and I’m caring for myself, with my own business, on my own terms, on this Monday morning.☀️

Nothing exciting for breakfast just a poor amount of SHREDDIES- normally I would see this as a waste of a HEXA & B But I have them to my kids on Saturday and haven’t been able to stop thinking about them since... half term this week- I always struggle in the half@term as my ‘ routine’ is out the window so I don’t walk as much and I find it somuch harder to stick to plan as I don’t know where I’m going to be or what I’m going to be doing 😩 anyone else find this?

Chocolate Hazelnut Cake by @klaraslife ❤️🍫 200 g hazelnuts, ground 200 g all purpose flour 60 g dark chocolate pieces/chunks 200 ml of vegan milk (oat, rice, almond, soy) 50-100 g of coconut blossom sugar 150 g softened vegan butter 1 tbsp of baking soda 1 tbsp vinegar 1 packet of tartar baking powder 2 tbsp apple sauce Chocolate frosting 80 g dark chopped chocolate, optionally with hazelnut bits 3 tbsp oatmilk Preheat the oven to 180 ° C/350F, grease and dust the baking tin/cake form. Mix flour, nuts, chocolate, baking powder, sugar, baking soda in a bowl. Beat the butter with the hand mixer until creamy white (takes approx. 5 minutes) Add apple sauce and mix. Add flour mixture, milk and vinegar and mix quickly. Don’t over mix. Pour the batter into the cake form and bake for about 40-45 minutes. Toothpick sample before removing the cake from the oven. Allow to cool in the tin for 5-10 Minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Melt chocolate in the microwave or above the water bath. Allow to cool briefly and stir 3 tbsp oatmilk. Pour over the cake and let it cool. Slice to serve.

CARBONARA- the best slimming world meal there is- So good for so many reasons and always my carby go to meal when I’m hanging... like today 😂😂😂 been looking forward to it all day- the best thing about it is it take 15 mins to make and it’s syn free 😱😱😱 using your HEXA . . fried the bacon in fry light(all fat removed) first whilst the pasta cooked . . . Then I mixed together 120gs of Parmesan( this was for 4 people so 30g each for HEXA) 4-5 tablespoons of quark,2 eggs, salt and pepper . . . Once the pasta and the bacon was cooked I added them together in a big pan put it on a low heat and then stirred in the sauce- I then mixed the sauce in with the pasta and bacon continually( this is the key) for about 5-10 mins Don’t turn it up too high because then it will curdle
