Hello work week! 5 pt salad (all 0pt veggies n 2tbsp reg hidden valley ranch. Usually use less dressing or get a lower point option but was dealing craving the nostalgia I grew up on and went with the full 2tbsp...I know, what a badass 😅 . . learning how to balance 0pt food as a base and then adding points has been the biggest challenge for me but it’s also the most rewarding. I can tell there’s a difference between eating to feel full and fueling your body up to feel good with real healthy food options. I’m too busy.  I’m too tired. I can’t afford it.  The top three excuses. 🙄 I’m guilty of them too. When my coach asked me, I straight up said no, I can’t afford it.  We all know how important exercising is for our bodies and our minds.  Just like anything else, if it’s important to you, you will make time for it. You will power through your workouts. You will find a way to adjust your budget.  By continuing a workout routine in my home, my children have started to participate, allowing us to bond further, by sharing a wonderfully healthy activity. They ask to do a workout with me as often as they ask for dessert. #truestory  I no longer depend on my daily dose of #caffeine to get me going and keep me going until the evening. Big save on money right there!  I have completely modified how I grocery shop for our home, which has further given me the financial freedom to workout and work from home.  And in the end, the world is as we choose to view it. Simple as that. If it was my only option of course I would have one. Day 8 of my #smoothiechallenge and here is today’s new combo:  #lean Vanilla (2 scoops) 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla coconut milk 1 teaspoon ground ginger 3 chunks frozen mango  12 frozen blackberries  I am really liking the ground ginger in some of these smoothies- really “perks” it up! This is a combo I’ll definitely try again. Hello all, sorry I m a month late in posting this photo. I had to post it on 19th Feb which marks 2 years of my weightloss journey but it took me a month to realize it’s not a dream anymore and yes I m maintaining it here. This lovely life changing journey started on 17th Feb 2017 when I was at the highest of my weight 130 kilograms 😱 and was in the worst of my mental n physical health. My biggest fear was what if it takes ages to reduce weight? And hell it DID take ages, 2 yrs felt like AGES, but the victory is, I didn’t stop, I kept stumbling I even failed many times reaching a set target but I didn’t stop. And these 2 yrs taught me that it doesn’t matter how slow we go, as long as we are going..... REAL healthy weight is the one that’s lost slowly, cuz it doesn’t creep up back quickly. Disclaimer: controversial post  This speaks volumes to me.  Who is “healthier” in your eyes? I have seen a lot of changes and trends in my 12 years in the fitness/health field. For some reason I have been seeing a lot more people choose goals to look like the guy on the left (could also be due to social media). I give them a lot of credit for their sacrifices and determination to get there. Doing fasted cardio in the AM’s and living in the gym is not for everyone. I’m ok with that piece. What I am not ok with is the nutritional sacrifices some people do to their body to get there. I’m sure that there people doing it in a healthier way. However, before you choose to look like the person on the left, talk to a real nutrition coach or dietitian. Not every person’s body runs the same and some require different ratios and macros. While cutting carbs is the fastest way to burn fat; make sure you look at carbs as fuel, and not just a “reward” just to get that extra decrease in body fat (for possibly more likes). Carbs is not the enemy, gluttony and laziness is. What is better on a Monday morning than a bowl of chocolate porridge? 🤤🍫 . . This is one of my absolute favourite porridge recipes everrr, and it is probably one of the simplest too! All you need is 👩‍🍳: . ✔️ 1/2 cup rolled oats ✔️ 1 and 1/2 cup water ✔️ 1 banana ✔️ 1-2 tbsp raw cacao powder . . I then topped this with some chopped banana, raw cacao nibs and the best almond butter you will ever taste = @pipandnut chocolate orange almond butter 😍🍫🍊 honestly, it’s heaven in a bowl 🤤 . . And believe it or not, this is actually a really healthy breakfast!: . 🥣 oats are a great carb, which keeps you full for hours, and also contains lots of essential nutrients like zinc and magnesium 🍌 we all know bananas are high in nutrients like potassium 🍫 the cacao nibs and cacao powder are both an amazing source of iron, so for those, like me, who don’t eat red meat, they’re incredible! 🥜 almond butter is healthy fat, which our bodies need! . . So, this proves that healthy food doesn’t need to be bland and boring!
