#biryani Day! Recipe: For biryani 6 medium onions 2 kg chicken 1 kilo rice 1 teaspoon black pepper 8 cloves 2 black cardamom 1 Cinnamon stick 3 Anise flower 5 bay leaves One teaspoon white cumin One teaspoon Garam Masala For more spiciness (optional) 3 teaspoon red chilli powder. Half teaspoon turmeric salt to taste Recipe: Roughly chopped 4 onions add one cup of oil, sauté them until browned. Then, take them out and keep them aside. Add 2 more onions and sauté them until golden brown, add chicken wait until it’s turned white then add all spices mentioned above, add one tablespoon garlic and ginger paste. Three tablespoon of yogurt. Mix well until oil starts to come above the chicken. Add 6 chopped tomatoes and 4 slit green chillies. Mix all this well, until the tomatoes are well cooked and then keep the masala aside. In a separate pot, boil 1 kg rice with 2 tablespoon of salt for flavour. Once the rice are 1/3 cooked, part the rice in two pots then add one part of the rice with fried onions and sliced lemons and mint leaves. Then add chicken masala and then add the remaining rice with fried onions, mint, sliced lemon and raw green chillies. Finally, put saffron and milk (mixed) on the rice for the yellow colour and ghee. Then put the lid back on and lower the heat and let the rice cook for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, keep the lid on and wait for 5 minutes. Then mix biryani from the bottom to top. Enjoy your biryani!

Plate of the nigh includes shredded chicken w/EBTB seasoning, baked sweet potato, asparagus sautéed in EVOO with black pepper + garlic hummus . . Being on the go, it’s pivotal to keep healthy foods on hand. Whenever I cook, I make sure to cook more than I would eat so I have leftovers! . Some things I cook plain. Then I can adjust the flavor for a different meal. Example 👉 cooked plain chicken. Today I added EBTB seasoning. Another day I can add pesto, soy sauce or hummus. Then I’m cooking less, but not getting bored of the same food or flavors🙌
▪️Two very Important life lessons I have learnt. ▪️1. Unexpected accidents are an inevitable part of existence. All the planning in the world can not and will not prepare you for life greatest obstacles. We can only move on, learn the important lesson from the experience and not let this temporary mishap shape and or influence our future actions negatively. We should look as this incidents as a learning curve to help us grow into better people. ▪️2. Don’t put boiling hot food in the #nutribullet
So this is how our iftar looks like. Some myths I'd like to clear are : 1.We dont hog on to food like people assume. We let our digestive system rest and eat accordingly. 2. FANCY SCRAMBLED EGGS! 🍳😍 🍅 @KayyDeanne Some of you guys who know me personally, can admit that I cook this TOO much in my house!!!🤣 If you guys don’t like spicy foods, def don’t use the cayenne pepper and hot sauce lol! I switch-up the ingredients from time to time and so can you, but here’s what I used today: Organic Onions (Chopped) Cherry Tomatoes Turkey Sausage (Low Sodium) 4 Eggs (2 Servings) Organic Spinach Sharp Cheddar Cheese Mozzarella Cheese Parmesan Condiments: Taco Bell Hot Sauce @tacobell Spices: Cayenne Pepper Sea Salt Black Pepper Lemon Pepper Oregano I usually like to cook the onions first just to coat the pan and any meats with a little flavor. Then I’ll add my sausages and slow cook them while adding some basic spices (salt and pepper). In a separate pan, I’ll cook the eggs on low to medium heat stirring slowly as well. In a bit (when the eggs start to form a little more) I’ll be adding my veggies and cheeses. The low heat setting will allow all ingredients to be cooked in a timely manner to prevent sogginess or mushy veggies 😩 lol. Once everything is combined, I then increase the heat to melt the cheese and make sure that my eggs are cooked thoroughly enough for my liking :) Than’t basically it! keep calm + curry on🤪 ⠀⠀ this curry chicken salad is definitely going to be a staple summer food for me! it’s so easy and different from your normal chicken salad! ⠀⠀ mix together 2 chopped celery stalks, 95g sweet onion, 85g shredded carrot, 30g pecan, 170g cooked chicken(you could even buy rotisserie chicken and shred that work smarter not harder ya know?!) 95g 0% greek yogz, 80g golden raisins, about 1tbs of curry powder, salt and pepp to taste! i also added extra cinnamon in mine bc why not! so easy to prep ahead of time and eat through out the week! ⠀⠀ MACROS for 85g: 12C 4F 10P (119cals) ⠀⠀ 85g stuffed one wrap and i ate two! 😋 it would be so good on toast or in salad too!! ⠀⠀ #flexyfoodie#flexyfoodieeats
Hey Keto peeps! Just wanted to tell you a little but about me! I am a mom of 2 boys, and my hubby is an electrician. Those boys of mine keep me busy from son up to son down...get it!? Lol Obviously I am a dork and proud of it! I live life to the fullest and love to laugh! I started my Keto journey over 2 years ago struggling with the diet so hard I gave up, and that’s when someone told me that I could DRINK ketones and get into ketosis 😳😳😳😳 Fast forward to today, I’m down almost 60 lbs and 7 pant sizes, but the best part is how good I feel everyday. Weight loss/ fat loss is great, but having all day energy, amazing mood, no more mom brain, no more acne, and actually sleeping at night is way better! Now, I get to help others find the same “better” I did!! It’s the absolute best job in the entire world!!

Stop and smell the flowers 🌹🌼🌸🌺 . . . Life’s so busy. We have so much thrown at us daily. The kids, the house, our jobs, the laundry, carpools, summer plans, the speeding ticket, the phone bills - you name it! There isn’t a shortage of what we need to take care of. It’s hard to be present and to really be where are feet are. . . . Spring is here. 💐 The flower are blooming. The kids are starting to to play outside again. It’s a chance to look at things with fresh eyes 👀 And so I challenge myself and you all- Stop and smell the flowers once a day. Notice the small little gifts in your life.
