Well that SUCKED 😳 . Not one single bone in my body was motivated to workout today. I literally sat on my bathroom floor with my clothes doing the debate in my head 😬 . Here’s the thing. NO ONE is motivated all the time. But that can’t stop you. You need to make your own motivation!!! And I can promise you you won’t find it cuddled in bed 🙌 . Some things we have zero control over. But this you do. So stop waiting for or using motivation as an excuse and DO IT ANYWAYS!!!! 💪 . It doesn’t have to be perfect, there is now “right” time. And you may never be fully “ready”. Happy Freakin Friday My Friends!  Thoughts this morning while i was gettin my sweat on. When you first start your journey, it’s HARD! You are learning to move your body in ways it never had before, you feel tired + discouraged, you move slow, & you most def don’t want to show up.  All I know is that because I showed up those first 30 days and committed regardless of how fast/slow I went, it became a habit in my life. It became easier because my body craves that movement. It gives me all the energy to crush my day. It gets my mind right!  I will never sacrifice my me time for the rest of my life because I matter, my mental health matters, my body matters, living a positive, healthy life matters. When you decide that, everything changes.  You my friend, need to realize your potential, that you can do this, that you matter. I know you may not see the value in it right this second, but I promise you your health is the most important investment you could ever make. Let’s talk SNAXXX, shall we? 🍌 . There’s a huge myth I want to bust before we get into this: the lie that we need to eat every 2 hours in order to “fire up our metabolism” #fakenews 🤦🏻‍♀️ . In fact, the more often you consume meals/snacks/drinks with calories, the more your blood sugar rises and falls, without ever giving your digestive system a break. . “But I get hungry every hour or two!” is something I hear often, and I totally feel you sis. I used to be like that too. . The solution: EAT BIGGER MEALS with a mix of greens/veggies, protein and healthy fats, or what I like to call the #gpf style of eating. . In an ideal world, you’d be able to last 3-4 hours at least between meals without becoming ravenous. here are some strategies you can implement to make that a reality: . 1. Make sure you’re getting enough VOLUME in your meals. That means loading up your plate with tons of veggies (the more colour, the better). 🍓🥦🍍🍠 . 2. To increase satiety, add a source of protein and a serving of healthy fats (avocado, nuts, nut butters, olive or coconut oil are my faves). Both protein and healthy fats will help you stay full for much longer. 🥑 . 3. If you DO need a snack between meals, alwwwways make sure it has a mix of protein + carbs or healthy fats. JUST A BANANA ain’t gonna do it, sis — you’ll be hungry in 10 minutes. Instead, pair fruit with a protein like hard boiled eggs or meat or protein powder, or a fat like nuts or nut butter. . And sometimes you do need a bridge snack between meals, so here are my go-to’s: • rice cake with peanut butter and cinnamon • chicken breast & veggies (yes, snacks can be smaller versions of normal meals! Which meant I had to let some things go, quite a few things, to allow myself to heal and transform. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As humans, we fear this important step we must take in order to truly step into our power & purpose. Because in doing so, we open ourselves up to be vulnerable with no valid idea of what the outcome will be. That’s pretty scary. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But, until we can walk away from the people, thoughts, things, jobs, failures & mistakes of the past, that are adding zero value to our growth, we will continue standing still. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Give yourself permission, close those doors.. many more are waiting to open. And love, I promise you’ll be so thankful when you open the door that will set your soul on fire 🔥 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The universe is waiting for you ✨
