These are my secret weapon for ensuring the boys get a wide variety of fruits and veggies every day. ✌🏻 .. These "lollies" are loaded with wholefood based nutrition (they're not synthetic multi-vitamins!) they are great to boost immunity, improve gut health and help with the cravability of fruits & veggies for kids - which is a win, win if you have picky eaters! 🌱 .. Breathing is not unidirectional. ➡➡ . We get caught in this constant state of breathing upwards (Shoulders lifting up, using our accessory muscles of our neck) when we are in a stressed state. On the other hand when we get told top take a 'deep breath' we breath into our stomach and push it only forward to look like we are 9 months pregnant (Congrats on the air baby 👶👶). . Here is a snippet of coach @Brenicebranc and I running through some 90/90 Hip Lift breathing exercises to help get that diaphragm working in sync with the rest of the body to create strong rounded deep breaths. These breaths aim to be 'circumferential', a term the boys at @melbournestrengthculture taught us at their seminars (Highly recommend) . . This type of breathing is where we breath in every direction; front, back, left, right, 45 degrees, turn left at Albuquerque directions. When we can utilise all areas of the core contraction our bracing can increase ten fold. The easiest way to learn this is through the 90/90 Hip lift demonstrated here. . Aber schaut euch mal an, wie viel Wasser in den einzelnen Organen steckt 😮 Krass oder? Wenn wir unserem Körper nicht täglich die 2-3 Liter Wasser zurückgeben, die er verliert, dann verliert auch jedes dieser Körperteile ein Stück weit an Funktion 😱 Ich glaube, das möchte niemand oder❓ Das nächste Mal, wenn ihr euch #müde fühlt, also nicht einfach einen #kaffee ☕ trinken (der zählt nämlich nicht und entzieht dem Körper auch Wasser), sondern einfach mal ein oder zwei Gläser #wasser (die ihr ja zB mit einer Zitrone verfeinern könnt), um der Müdigkeit WIRKLICH auf den Grund zu gehen ❤️ #beyourbest#healthgoals

I seeee you Easter weekend! 👀 . Try not let this be a time for extremes. Enjoy the food. Enjoy the chocolate. But remember that you can totally enjoy yourself without it turning into a 4 day binge! . Equally, try to not obsess over burning an insane amount of calories to make up for the food you’re gonna eat. ❌ . Enjoy the time with your family and friends. . 🏃🏼♀️STAY ACTIVE. It’s gonna be a glorious one so get some steps in, a cheeky run, a bike ride, a hike - a little home workout (gonna be dropping one for you!) Whatever is your thaaaaang. . ☀️You can soak up some rays and get some Vit D in whilst your at it - a nice double whammy health hit! . 🥦Still get some nutrients IN. Enjoying a few treats feels way more satisfying when you’ve smashed those veggies first 👊🏻 . 💧stay hydrated! . And finally ...It’s only a couple of days ... your consistency the rest of the time is what really makes the difference! . HAPPY FRIDAY!!! . . .
Water challenge update ... super busy week last week and I’ve realised it’s those weeks where I seem to flunk getting my fluids in. I don’t seem to sit and enjoy a glass of water like I would a hot drink. But back on it again this week and so far so good back up to 3 litres a day 🙌🏻🧡
Making slow and steady progress towards my health and fitness goals! This year I decided I would challenge myself with 100 days of no sugar... I’ve had the proverbial ‘sweet tooth’ for as long as I can remember. I don’t think I’ve gone a single day of my life without having something sweet to eat. I love my morning chai with sugar, having a little something sweet to end every meal with, and when eating out, I’ve been known to begin my meals with dessert first! To get rid of this addiction, once and for all, I committed to cutting out sugar in all forms – no substitutes, no cheat days, no cheat meals or exceptions whatsoever. I focused on only cutting out sugar at first since that was the main culprit for me, and then gradually also eliminating all refined/processed food from my diet, and basically tried to eat as clean, whole and natural as possible. While there are enormous benefits to giving up sugar, I mainly did this as an exercise in mental toughness. I wanted to flex my will power and discipline muscles in a way I hadn’t done before to build a strong foundation for long-term healthy habits. 100 days down, and I feel fantastic. I fill fitter than ever before, my hair and skin feels much healthier, and I have far greater mental clarity and energy than I’ve had in years. So much so, I am now encouraged to do this for the rest of the year, and make 2019 my year without sugar! Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes. They are received with much love and warmth. I’m looking forward to a much healthier and fitter year ahead! 😊🙏
