Re-introducing (gf!) grains has never tasted soooo good 😋 . I don’t eat grains on a daily basis or even weekly sometimes. But when I travel, gluten free grains like oats and rice are often the best option for me on the menu. A former version of myself would’ve pitched a fit and gone hungry because it didn’t fit into my strict regimented diet, but I’ve grown a lot through this healing process and learned to be more flexible. . My body has been really loving a portion of grains here and there, especially on days when I am really active. And I’m now more open to listening to my body and what it needs. . My health has been quite the journey and there is more to healing a gut than just taking a probiotic. Gut health impacts ALL aspects of your health and is so important to well-being.  My test results showed bacteria, mold toxicity, Candida overgrowth, as well as other problems; like a liver that is not properly detoxifying. These problems not only stem from a sick gut but also make a sick gut worse. It becomes a vicious cycle that a probiotic alone will not heal. As a result of this, my body struggles to tolerate food and environmental toxins (I’ll talk more on this) to the extent that I can, and do, easily gain 6+ lbs of INFLAMMATION on any given day in response to triggers and leaves me feeling drained, sick, bloated, foggy, etc. I finally made a blog, which is currently very rudimentary, but I wanted to begin sharing my journey with my health and functional medicine as I heal my body and my gut. ⭐️DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES ! These cookies are #lowcarb and are also #sugarfree 🙌🏻. I sprinkled a dash of sea salt on top because i love the combination of sweet and salty 😋. Only involves a few ingredients and are delish! 3/4 cup of @lilys_sweets chocolate chips 1 tbsp of coconut oil 1/4 cup of almond flour 3 tbsp of cocoa powder 1 egg 1/2 tsp of baking soda 1 tsp of vanilla extract 3 tbsp of @lakantosweetener monk fruit ( you can use any another sweetener )  Melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil, then add remaining wet ingredients to the mix. Mix dry ingredients and incorporate into the wet ingredients. Place dough in the fridge for 15 minutes to chill.  Use a icecream scoop and place cookies on a tray with parchment paper. Why order in when you can cook instead? Being a part of the technological world that we live in, we are blessed with apps on our fingertips that bring us everything that we desire within minutes. Be it that particular waffle, your favourite burger or that deadly mac and cheese. 3-4 months back I had hit a phase where I would order in something every 2-3 days, I dreaded home meals and would find my solace in “comfort food”. A month back I decided to put an end to it and started sticking to just home-cooked meals. Now me being me, I cannot just simply do dal-chawal or roti-sabzi. I started going to the sabzi mandi, picked up my own groceries, re-started cooking and eventually fell in love with it all over again. The temptation to order in is the strongest when you decide to make a shift, “Why cook when you can order?” is what the mind ends up thinking, it is this defining moment that helps you make a better choice for yourself. There were days when I was tempted to order in butter-chicken instead of making a sabzi or a curry, but I didn’t let my temporary craving become an eventual lifestyle habit. Eating healthy is not necessarily having kale smoothies or quinoa, ghar ka dal-chawal is healthy too. Eating healthy is not having mundane food, you can cook all your favourite dishes at home and devour it. Trust me, once you get a hang of cooking, you will rarely order in. It’s a tiny step that you have to take; for your own betterment🌱  PS Turn off notification for all the food delivery apps, you will not be bombarded with the incessant offers and it will help you to stick to your resolution from not ordering in.

Looks like I’m gonna need a new sharps container! This old tide detergent container is pretty much stuffed to the max! I wonder if I could wiggle a few more needles in there?? Maybe?! Recipe week 🤣⠀ ⠀ Sesame Soba Noodles⠀ (Prepare these first)⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Main Ingredients: �⠀ 8 ounces soba noodles⠀ 6 cups water⠀ 1 bunch sunflower sprouts ⠀ ½ cup chopped red radishes (4-6 radishes)⠀ 1 stalk chopped celery ⠀ ½ cup chopped cucumber (1 small or ½ large)⠀ ⠀ Dressing Ingredients:�⠀ ½ cup finely chopped fresh basil⠀ 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil⠀ ¼ cup tahini⠀ 2 tablespoons tamari soy sauce⠀ 2-inch piece grated fresh ginger⠀ juice of ½ lemon⠀ ⠀ Directions:�⠀ Add soba noodles to pot of 6 cups boiling water.⠀ Cook until tender – no more than 8 minutes.⠀ Meanwhile, mix the dressing ingredients.⠀ Rinse with cold water and drain well.⠀ Mix all vegetables and noodles together.⠀ Pour dressing over noodles and toss to coat.⠀ Enjoy Would you like more recipes? When should you get your testosterone checked?🤷🏻‍♀️ Women's testosterone starts to decline at the age of 20, with a peak level between 18 to 19 years old.  The T level will slowly start to drop and is widely effected by thyroid, gut issues, stressors, toxins, sleep, exercise, etc Symptoms of Low Testosterone in women often get misdiagnosed for depression, anxiety, ADD, or if diagnosed with a thyroid issue, the search for a cause will stop because they will blame it on the thyroid. 👩🏻‍⚕️I have performed close to 200 pellet procedures in the 9 months I've been certified to do so. I love how it changes peoples lives and makes them more like themselves. 🙋🏻‍♀️I was 34 when I first had my hormone levels looked at, and like many women I thought I'm too young to have a hormone imbalance. I had just had my third child, and had all the baby weight off, but still didn't feel great, and chucked up being tired to I'm just a mom of 3 kids and trying to build a business.  WRONG ANSWER!! My testosterone level was 19!! 🌟What is a normal level of Testosterone? I laugh because if you look at the reference range on the standard lab test for women it will say 0-70. That range is HUGE! Das Ergebnis meiner Schnapsidee von gestern: Vegane Bolognese mit Zucchini, Aubergine und Jackfruit! 🤗 Danke euch nochmal, dass ihr mir gestern so viele tolle Zutatenideen geschickt habt! 😘 Mir hat es total Spaß gemacht. Bereits als ich eure Vorschläge gelesen haben, sprudelten in meinen Kopf Rezeptideen. 🙌🏻 Zucchini war übrigens die mit Abstand meist genannte Zutat. Hat mich schon fast gewundert, dass sie sich gestern Abend nicht versehentlich mehrfach gezogen habe. 🤗 Schlussendlich kam mir bei der Ziehung von Zucchini, Aubergine und Jackfruit sofort eine Bolognese in den Kopf. 🍝 Sorry, aber ich liebe einfach Bolognese! 🥰 Heute Mittag habe ich diese dann gekocht und parallel ein Livevideo gemacht. Ich hab es euch gespeichert, sodass ihr es heut Abend noch ansehen könnt, wenn ihr mögt. Schreibt mir mal hier in den Kommentaren wie es euch gefallen hat und ob ihr Lust auf eine Wiederholung habt. Dann würde ich aber besser abends kochen, wenn auch mehr zugucken können! 👩‍🍳📱 Da ich Jackfruit vorher noch gar nicht kannte: Mein Fazit ist, dass es in meiner Bolognese sehr der Aubergine geähnelt hat. Die Konsistenz war etwas anders, aber Ähnlichkeit mit Fleisch hatte es gar nicht. Ich fand eher, dass sie eine fruchtige Note reingebracht hat. Insgesamt schmeckte mit die Bolognese aber trotzdessen richtig gut und auch @stefan.bruemmer ist regelrecht drüber hergefallen. Gut, dass es im Endeffekt etwas mehr als geplant geworden ist.
