Re-introducing (gf!) grains has never tasted soooo good 😋 . I don’t eat grains on a daily basis or even weekly sometimes. But when I travel, gluten free grains like oats and rice are often the best option for me on the menu. A former version of myself would’ve pitched a fit and gone hungry because it didn’t fit into my strict regimented diet, but I’ve grown a lot through this healing process and learned to be more flexible. . My body has been really loving a portion of grains here and there, especially on days when I am really active. And I’m now more open to listening to my body and what it needs. . ⭐️DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES ! These cookies are #lowcarb and are also #sugarfree 🙌🏻. I sprinkled a dash of sea salt on top because i love the combination of sweet and salty 😋. Only involves a few ingredients and are delish! 3/4 cup of @lilys_sweets chocolate chips 1 tbsp of coconut oil 1/4 cup of almond flour 3 tbsp of cocoa powder 1 egg 1/2 tsp of baking soda 1 tsp of vanilla extract 3 tbsp of @lakantosweetener monk fruit ( you can use any another sweetener ) Melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil, then add remaining wet ingredients to the mix. Mix dry ingredients and incorporate into the wet ingredients. Place dough in the fridge for 15 minutes to chill. Use a icecream scoop and place cookies on a tray with parchment paper. Why order in when you can cook instead? Being a part of the technological world that we live in, we are blessed with apps on our fingertips that bring us everything that we desire within minutes. Be it that particular waffle, your favourite burger or that deadly mac and cheese. 3-4 months back I had hit a phase where I would order in something every 2-3 days, I dreaded home meals and would find my solace in “comfort food”. A month back I decided to put an end to it and started sticking to just home-cooked meals. Now me being me, I cannot just simply do dal-chawal or roti-sabzi. I started going to the sabzi mandi, picked up my own groceries, re-started cooking and eventually fell in love with it all over again. The temptation to order in is the strongest when you decide to make a shift, “Why cook when you can order?” is what the mind ends up thinking, it is this defining moment that helps you make a better choice for yourself. There were days when I was tempted to order in butter-chicken instead of making a sabzi or a curry, but I didn’t let my temporary craving become an eventual lifestyle habit. Eating healthy is not necessarily having kale smoothies or quinoa, ghar ka dal-chawal is healthy too. Eating healthy is not having mundane food, you can cook all your favourite dishes at home and devour it. Trust me, once you get a hang of cooking, you will rarely order in. It’s a tiny step that you have to take; for your own betterment🌱 PS Turn off notification for all the food delivery apps, you will not be bombarded with the incessant offers and it will help you to stick to your resolution from not ordering in.

Looks like I’m gonna need a new sharps container! This old tide detergent container is pretty much stuffed to the max! I wonder if I could wiggle a few more needles in there?? Maybe?!
