Omgosh you guys, I am so incredibly proud of Logan!!! He is working hard and diligently and persistently on skateboarding! He is going in hesitantly but he is excited and being fearless! What an amazing example he is being and inspiring his mamma in so many ways. HUMP DAY 🍑 - Get in there & do some damage 💪🏼 - 🍑 Hip Thrust 5 sets 12/10/8/6/4 keep your weight in your heels, get that Booty down as low as you can squeeze your glutes as hard as you can at the top of the rep drive that weight up as fast as you can! - 🍑 Windmill Abs 5 sets of 4 each way Go sloooooow here to really feel it - 🍑 Cable Deadlift 4 sets of 15 Hinge at the hips keep that back as flat as possible (really push the booty out to keep your spine straight) - Imagine pulling your belly button to your spine to keep that core activated. Squeeze the glutes at the top - 🍑 Split Squat 4 sets of 10 keep your chest up, shoulders down and back Keep your weight in the HEEL of that front leg! Don’t let your weight shift to your toes - 🍑 Bent Knee Hyperextensions 4 sets of 15 Yes, looks funny but is a GREAT booty exercise Keep your legs bent 90 and drive your heels straight up to the ceiling Squeeze the booty as much as possible at the top - 🍑 Banded Side Step 30 reps (15 each direction) shift your weight back and down into an ISO squat keep your knees wider than your feet Take very small steps while pressing your knees out into the band - 🍑 Curtsy Lunge to Squat 4 sets 12 reps keep your chest up, shoulders down & back Take a step back & diagonal into that curtsy lunge Drop down while keeping your weight in the front heel Squat in between each alternating rep

❤️💚 Merry Christmas everyone! ❤️💚 ❗️ We train single leg balance and strength A LOT with our athletes. Here’s a simple exercise you can do with any skill level! ‼️ Balance training is so important and often overlooked in our youth athletes. First things first, you cannot kick a ball well if you cannot balance. ❗️ Graham shows us the importance of going slowly when doing balance work. Moving too quickly through these exercises switches the emphasis : it no longer is an exercise in balance. The ability to control your body is crucial to control a ball at your feet. He and I are still working to improve his posture when executing these exercises - he’s come a long way already! I’m really proud of the accomplishments he has made over he past year or so. ❕ The goal here is to do between 5 and 10 reps placing the cone, standing all the way up, and reaching back down to pick the cone back up - all without touching the ground with our other leg! Try it! More progressions to come! ❗️

🔈🔥 sound on 🔥🔈 Our last “MESA!!” Of the season 😢 • • These girls came together, picked each other up time and time again and were ‘all-in’. We lost in double OT yesterday after we left everything we had on the field. • • I am so proud of this group of women. They worked their asses off and passed through the first round of playoffs for the first time this year since 2008! • • What a great season and a great group of women. I’m a proud coach. 🖤
This little baller 🖤 • • Here is a glimpse of the importance of Plyometric training for young players. • • The first jump “E” takes her time, thinks through the landing, plus, we had been leading up to the jump by doing lower jumps and balance work. • • Immediately she jumps again and look at the difference. She’s off balance and rushed. • • It’s important to teach our younger players how to Jump and more importantly how to LAND so they can stay healthy as they grow! Plyometrics aren’t to be avoided, it’s better to teach!
👀 Look at this little baller! • She’s 7 and getting really good at multitasking! We did 4 rounds of catching while moving her feet. The goal is to catch and continue to do the skill on the ball simultaneously. She’s killin’ it! I decided to have her catch soccer balls instead of tennis balls for this one so the catch is more successful for a young player, less precision involved in the catch so she can focus more on her feet. Being able to do more than one thing at a time, with control of a ball at your foot, is crucial for young soccer players. Encourage multitasking and always looking up! • She also scored 6 goals in her last scrimmage... against the boys team. She’s been working hard since March to learn this game and she’s taking off! 🚀👏
