What more can I say? Each morning when I wake up I peer into my bin of scrunchies as if to remind myself that they are still there. These tiny little round wonders give me the same feeling that a sugar heaped, sprinkle covered donut would. Happy. They bring the sparkle to an otherwise grey day. I feel so happy this Monday morning. I had an incredibly wonderful weekend. I am grateful to have spent it with my family and to have celebrated love. I am happy to sit down today and put in some quality time with my sewing machine. COMMENT with a 😀 if you are feeling the happiness today!!
Days 13 & 14/#100daysofpaintingintuitively: Part of my full moon ritual for the April Full Moon in Libra. It was such a pleasure to paint this sweet art journal spread. So much simpler than I anticipated, and yet, so very meaningful! I’ll share the completed painting soon!
Part 2 of our love story starts with a letter. I had sent Connor a congrats card on his graduation because I couldn’t stop thinking about him. He let me know he got the letter, and then we didn’t really ever stop talking. 🤭 He convinced me to go with him to Concord Coffee (@concordcoffee) and the rest is history. Since that day we dug into deep love. Truly knowing someone, intimacy, can evoke all sorts of emotions and discoveries. We found things in ourselves we didn’t know were there - different sadnesses, dreams, hopes, feelings, and joys. Falling in love young helped me learn about myself - while having a very steady partnership to lean on. We’ve figured out a lot together. How to be grown ups, how to move out, how to start a business, how to have a community, how to love well, how to be us. Connor is my very best friend. We laugh A LOT together. Tears and snorts and such. We share an appreciation for aesthetics - going to art museums, watching films, being outside. We love small business and both have our own! We share the same values, hopes, and dreams. I just love him. We are now 12 days away from a day we’ve been counting to for a very long time. (A wedding picture will be part 3 of our love story 😉 EEP!)
our PICK OF THE WEEK is the perfect blend of comfort (as we ease into winter) and style (so you don’t have to sacrifice looking good for feeling good!). The Bella Pant features our super soft cotton elastane and an elasticated waistband. With legs that taper in and drop crotch styling, these are pants you'll wear again and again x #linkinbio
“On Earth Day, let us reaffirm our commitment towards creating a better planet for our future generations 👫. Let us work together to mitigate the menace of climate change. This would be a great tribute to our beloved Mother Earth 🌍 .” — Narendra Modi 💕. #earthday2019

On this April 22nd “Earth Day” I’m reflecting on how beautiful the ocean was in Florida, but also how many problems our world is facing due to climate change and our responsibility as the humans living on this planet. It feels overwhelming and I often wonder if what we personally do (or don’t do) as a family has any impact. I know it’s a tiny one, but it matters. When I tell the girls to take quick showers, use the hand towel instead of grabbing another paper towel to dry their hands, always remembering to recycle, etc etc. I know it all adds up. Even if it’s small. 🌪❄️🔥⛄️🌈💨🌨🌊 All we can do is our part. But if we each did that we’d make a bigger impact. What will you do to make a difference? 🌟⭐️🌟⭐️💫☄️ I know it’s small and seen as a “luxury” but I’m very proud that all of my LHD pieces are made from vintage and used jewelry items, repurposed to become something new and special.
Good morning sunshine! So I do my best to learn something new every day. It could be about process, or technique, or inspiration, but something I still need to learn more about is how to photograph large paintings well. That’s why rarely have them on my website. If you have any good tips for me please pass them along. When I was at the Arlington art show last weekend I took some photos of my work when it was hanging in the tent and the lighting wasn’t too bad...glad I got this shot :) This original oil painting is 30”x30” in a beautiful gold floater frame. And it’s available. DM me for details. #carveouttimeforart#dowhatyoulove#createwithallofyourheart
Its Earth Day! At Yonder we have taken the environment seriously from day one! Our current line up utilizes shirts made by @bellacanvas which are produced in an eco friendly, energy efficient facility. We use @greengalaxyco water based inks which are much gentler on the environment than plastisol inks. We also source our canvas from @saunaspace and utilize the scraps that they would have otherwise thrown away. Check out our stories for more ways we go easy on Mother Earth. 🌍❤😍
I think we should all love Mondays.⠀ ⠀ Why?⠀ Cause its new and exciting.⠀ You actually do not know what could possible happen this week.⠀ ⠀ The day you got that unexpected good news. That week started with a Monday⠀ The day you killed that exam? That week started with a Monday⠀ The day you got that job? That week started with a Monday⠀ The day you got your admission letter? That week started with a Monday⠀ ⠀ I choose to believe absolutely anything can happen every time I wake up.⠀ But Mondays especially! Cause I have all the expectations for the week ahead!⠀ ⠀ 📷: @girlganggoodies
Easter is probably my favourite holiday- it has all the company and good food minus the stress of shopping for gifts! Using 3 words how would you describe your Easter weekend? Mine are: Cuddles (with my cute little nephew) Delicious (thanks to my moms brisket!) Productive (thanks to my husband’s goal to make it through our house to-do list) Share your three words below! 🐰 🐰 🐰
This morning, I can't help but smile. Because waking up on a Holiday Monday with no hangover, no shame, no text message disasters to clean up, no shaking hands to steady with a lunchtime shandy, no lurching stomach to douse in bacon grease, no self-loathing following me around like a black cloud... Being free from all that still makes me smile. 20 months into sobriety, and it's starting to feel less uncomfortable to reflect on how I used to live my life. 🧡Yes, I'm still horrified at what I used to do to my mind and body 🧡Yes, I'm still ashamed of the states I got myself into 🧡Yes, I'm still angry at myself for wasting so much time, energy, and money But I'm also starting to accept that it was all part of the journey. (Yikes, that got real cheesy real quick, didn't it? 🧀) From the outside, I always looked like I was having so much fun. I guess I thought I was. Getting wasted IS fun - right? Right.... 🤔 This long weekend didn't feature a three-figure bar tab, a two-star Uber rating, or a 1am visit to the kebab shop BUT, I had more fun than I'd have ever thought possible, if you'd asked me a few years ago. Cafe hopping in between April showers, going on an impromptu pizza mission, making mid-morning pancakes, bonding over @brenebrown on @netflix, baking Swedish seed bread (with an IKEA packet, obvs, I'm not Mary Berry) and curling up with books, podcasts, journaling, and a whole Lindt bunny... 🐇 No wonder I'm smiling today 😊 pic - @arangione #yougotthis#stayandwander#alwaysfindaway#walkyourtruepath#handsandhustle#youbelong#creativeentrepreneur#pursuepretty#livethelittlethings#thatsdarling#sober#twentysomethingandsober#sobriety#soberaf#aa#alchoholfree#offthesauce#nobooze#alcoholfree
