It’s so easy to forget eye contact and trust in boxing. Perhaps you habitually look down when someone jabs at you. That is normal in the beginning.  But you can work on that. You really can. I’ve noticed that my eye-contact and focus has become way better now that I’m regurlarly practising on #boxaball which I bought at#boxbollen  It’s all about presence, timing and trust. You have to trust yourself that you can do something before it happens. You have to see yourself doing it before it happens.  And you have to repeat yourself every Single day. Repetition is the mother of all learning.  The reason why I repeat words when I write on this page is because words changes my whole belief system about what I can do with my mind.  Most people tend to repeat negative thoughts about themselves and then it becomes almost impossible to change.  So, I will therefore continue to repeat positive words to uplift you and myself.  You have to develop positive habits in your mind and start believing and trusting in them.  Eventually these habits and thoughts will become a part of you and you will always have a winner’s heart. Про привычки.  Направо и налево сейчас многие пишут о пользе дисциплины. Ради её дрессировки заводят святой ТРЕКЕР привычек. И предлагают ещё много вариантов того, что же туда записать.  Вот моё "любимое" : 1. Выпивать стакан воды после сна 2. Бегать по утрам 3. Делать зарядку 4. Не есть после 6 5. Просыпаться в 5-6 Список можно продолжать.. Но смысл в том, что все привычки полезные. И то, не каждому подходят они. И многим вообще ни к чему🤷‍♀️ Но постойте, если у нас нет этих полезных привычек, значит у нас есть другие, например вредные. Которые тоже нужно куда-то девать. А не закрывать на них глаза🙈 Например, 1. Выпивать по выходным в компании друзей. 2. Есть на ночь чипсы и фастфуд 3. Грызть ногти 4. Опаздывать на встречи 5. Курить 6. Заедать стресс И т. д. Вы же хотите от них избавится, чтобы чувствовать себя не заложником, а свободным здоровым человеком? Тогда в первую очередь надо записывать их! А не всякую здоровую ненужную муть.  Вот попробуйте неделю не курить и не пить (как пример), сначала будете срываться, а потом через пару недель заметите, что жизнь то можно и без этого.  За две недели я

It’s crazy how even after 44 days without drinking I have even started to notice my thought patterns of when I feel like “I’d love a glass of wine” the 2 main ones being - ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. When I’m bored  2. When I’m in a bad mood 3. Just fancy it, I like the taste  No3 feels more & more like an excuse to be honest. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My internal chatter has gone abit like this - “Ah this sucks I feel like a vino” or even just “I’d love a glass of wine right now to help me relax” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Why do I feel like not drinking is boring or not living, or restricting?” “Why do I have this habit of feeling I need it to relax or feel more confident or “switch off” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “ Emmm oh well one glass doesn’t matter, now & again is OK” but then remind myself that I know as soon as I give in I will go back to old habits of drinking whenever I feel uncomfortable or unsatisfied. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What about the times when being uncomfortable can’t be covered with alcohol because it would be deemed “unacceptable” like before taking a class or having a business meeting? I received this from a client this morning so I had to share  We forget that skill acquisition takes time, practice and multiple failed attempts  Developing a great diet, building muscle, losing fat, building a business and things of this nature takes lots of time and plenty of mistakes  Something I impress onto my clients is the importance of trial and error  We try something that I think will work given their circumstances and see what happens, then make ‘evidence based’ decisions to fine tune their plan that will move them closer to their goal  The dieting industry gives us the illusion that there is one simple solution to what what you think is a simple problem  Doing anything meaningful takes time, commitment, patience, consistency and courage. It isn’t easy easy doing anything that you see as a challenge  Get some help, get someone to help build structure and direction into your life and offer clarity and support  Simplify things and more importantly... Good oils can make all the difference. Simply swapping out the oils we use can completely change our health. We can go from adding (basically) poison to our bodies to adding medicine.⠀ ⠀ Cheap oils that contain canola, corn, soy, grapeseed, rapeseed, hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils and "vegetable" oil should be avoided like the plague. These are usually rancid oils that are highly inflammatory and linked to just about every chronic disease imaginable.⠀ ⠀ Instead, swap them out for high omega 3 fats like avocado oil, extra virgin olive oil, hemp seed, chia seed, flax seed oils, macadamia nut oil, etc. If you're cooking, it's especially important to use a fat that is heat stable at high temperatures like avocado oil or coconut oil.⠀ ⠀ If you're cooking and notice it starts to smoke or burn or blacken you know you're oxidizing the fats (making them rancid) which produces free radicals in the body which are known to cause cancer. ⠀ ⠀ And with all of these oils, they should come in dark, preferably glass containers, be extra-virgin, and cold pressed. Avoid buying refined oils in clear bottles that DO NOT specifically state that they are extra-virgin or cold-pressed.⠀ ⠀ Is this going to change your life to simply swap out the oils you're using? YES! Is this a hard switch to make? Someone asked me this week if I am becoming more spontaneous. I don’t think so…I think I’m becoming more intentional.  And that’s why I’ll be strawberry picking in June, I’m getting away with friends next week, I spent time with the Lilacs yesterday, I  enjoy time in the woods every week and I do what I can to be well-rested. (You won’t see me after 10:30 pm very often - but we can walk at 6:00 am if you are around.) There is so much to do! I can’t leave it to chance. Last night I dreamt that something I’ve wanted for a long time, happened; For whatever reason was accepted in this dream, making it become a reality will take time, patience, and effort. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Habits of self interest can be hard to break. One of my worst habits is thinking too much about the future. Where will I be? Will I have completed my goals? Is there still time to change my future? These are the questions I ask myself unconsciously, daily. I want to break this habit. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Teaching myself to focus on this present moment has become so rewarding. I am still learning to live without overthinking, and each day my mindset grows on the idea of existing in the now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Making decisions to act in self-love and self care have made this journey a whole lot easier. So, do something today that your future self will thank you for. Environment Is So Important! . Do you know who has no self control with chocolate sitting in front of her when she gets stressed?  Yep, that would be me🙋🏻‍♀️! I start feeling overwhelmed and if there is candy in my desk, it’s over! .  So, I don’t buy chocolate to keep in my desk.  Problem solved, right? Nope!  I get gifted little treats all the time.  My best bet, is to take it home and stash it away and out of sight.  That usually means a plastic container in my pantry.  I still have it; it’s just not in my line of vision screaming out my name. Then when I mindfully choose to have some, I can without being out of control. . What we see influences our choices!  If you want to make more healthy choices, put them in your line of sight.  Want to eat more fruit?🍎🍐 Put it on the counter or in the front of the fridge so you see it first. . 🍫Want to eat less sweets? Stash one or two away and out of sight.  Then you will not be reminded of them constantly. If that is still too tempting, don’t keep them in the house.  If you choose to have something sweet (or whatever is a treat for you), go to the store and get one serving. . Want to commit to exercise?  Have your workout clothes laid out the night before or your gym bag sitting out where you can’t miss it. . Your environment can support or sabotage your goals! . Best book I have read in awhile is Atomic Habits by James Clear.  So good!!! Contemplating... Absolutely nothing.  It's a skill, an artform to be able to sit and simply breathe.  One that I am slowly getting better at. Taking the time to simply sit & do nothing else is key for me to be able to move fast when it comes time to execute.  I attribute most of my best work to having come directly after a moment with my breath.  This morning I got myself up and did my first meditation that lasted longer than 10 minutes in a couple of weeks.  I was sick, breathing was uncomfortable and I coughed alot. Probably means I should have done it more - but instead I fell off the wagon of my own habits.  It happens.  I accept it.  I watched the resulting quality of presence and awareness. The cloud of distraction that hung around in my consciousness.  Feels good to be getting back to my usual primed & clear self.  Consciousness is always watching.
