Last week, my mom texted me the picture in the middle... 😬, ♥️In the past, a few people have asked why I don’t use “different” before pictures from that particular period of my life, and here’s the answer to that: I don’t HAVE many pictures! (Actually prior to this text, I only had 3!). ♥️Before that time, I also had a stage during which I weighed well under 100 lbs., (picture on the left) and guess what?? I don’t have many pictures of that stage either!!! 😕Why? You might ask... 🤔well it’s simple! Not only did I shy away from the camera back then too, but the few pictures I did have, I ripped up!🤷🏻♀️ 🖤Here’s the absolute WORST PART: in my head, I didn’t feel much different being heavier than I did when I was underweight and hungry. In both stages, I felt weak, lost, confused, and unhappy. 🤦🏻♀️ I had a horrible relationship with my body. I had this vision of what a “pretty girl” had to look like, and somehow, never felt like I was “good enough”. 💙I’ll never forget at one point when I was at my thinnest my mother asked me if I was doing heroin because my hair was thinning and my ribs were showing. Yet, when I looked in the mirror, I just wanted to be thinner. Days would go by and I wouldn’t eat, and believe it or not: the thought that there was something wrong with me never once crossed my mind! 💙When I was at my heaviest, I was depressed and nobody would have known it! I felt like “something” was missing. I swear to you, I’m not sure of what would have happened had I not had my son back then! He pretty much gave me a reason to live. 💜Here’s what I wish I’d known: ⚫️Food is fuel, BUT it can also be poison. In other words: 1️⃣you have to EAT 2️⃣WHAT you eat matters 3️⃣Eating clean 100% of the time isn’t realistic 4️⃣Eating junk all the time isn’t healthy 5️⃣Finding balance can be challenging! But it’s the way to go! ⚫️Exercise can boost

You can also get a free 7 day trial. (some of my favs on here are , and .robbins) 🌟💕 2. - While there are multiple programs on this app, when I originally started BBG, I would do the workouts in my living room 🏡 The regular and OG doesn’t require much equipment and can easily be done at home. 3. app - There are SO many workouts to choose from 💪🏻 You can browse by no equipment workouts, muscle group, workout type, short workouts… it goes on. Oh and it’s free… sounds good to me! 💰 4. - I LOVE their workout videos and tutorials on . They upload new videos multiple times a week and there is always a modified version to follow 💁🏼♀️🙌🏻 . . . Starting a new job is a little overwhelming but so far I’m loving what i’m doing and I love that I can do it in California. Now that I got the job under control I’m directing all my energy to making healthier decisions, having more consistent workouts, and posting more for accountability.

Let’s talk about PRIVILEGE. As a privileged white woman, I try my hardest to check my privilege at the goddamn door, and make sure what I’m posting is accessible for everyone. But you know what? I haven’t been doing the best job at that, and I want to apologize. — Up until now, I shared products that I truly believe in (and still believe in!) But I wasn’t actively conscious of all your different financial backgrounds and situations. In fact, I’ve been getting swept up in this wellness bubble and I’d like to call out a few things: 1. Expensive adaptogens, boutique fitness classes and overpriced leggings do NOT equal wellness. 2. Self-care requires zero money. None. Nada. Don’t believe any company who tells you that you need to buy something in order to practice self-care. 3. If I wasn’t sent free shit because I’m an “influencer,” (hate that word lol), I probably wouldn’t buy half the things I post about on a consistent basis. They’re great products, but since when did wellness become so GD expensive?! — I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! On one hand, I want to share the incredible products made by hard-working small businesses (such as myself) with my community. On the other hand, I know many of these items are expensive AF and not accessible to everyone. — Bottom line: wellness is a state of being and in no way requires having a lot of money. I don’t like the direction the wellness industry is going (towards exclusivity and affluence) and wanted to call it out today. - Post by @ avokween -

Throughout my entire life I never had friends who were curvy. I was always the only curvy girl in the group. I’m not going to lie and say that it never bothered me because I remember several nights crying to my mom wondering why I was the only one that looked like how I did. Why was I the only one with a fluffy stomach and bigger legs?! When I started my IG over 4 years ago I still felt like I couldn’t find girls like me on IG. I followed a ton of fitness skinny inspo and it wasn’t until I found other girls going through weight loss journeys that I finally felt like I found my people. Then when I moved to LA I found REAL life friends who were beautiful and curvy! I know it may seem silly but I feel so happy to see 4 beautiful curvy girls all in one photo! I know that if I could have seen this type of image as a young girl it would have given me hope, confidence, and made me feel like I was worthy. In a world that sells skinny constantly I’m here to show you being exactly who you are is more than enough! 〰️ I can’t wait to share more about all of these ladies soon! But if you’re not following each of them you’re missing out! These women are creative, supportive, body positive, and are genuinely beautiful humans inside and out!
