TRAINING NATURAL 🍎 vs DOPED 💉 - PART 2⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Mechanical Tension is basically the amount of weight you are lifting along with a good time under tension (TUT), in other words, strength.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Metabolic stress means training in a higher rep range (8-20) in order to accumulate metabolic substances as lactic acid and others.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Muscle damage is completely destroying the muscles.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Would a sprinter, train to failure one day a week and then wait one full week before training? Take a look at how the best athletes train and you'll immediately realize that this would be really stupid.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Now why should we do that for musclebuilding? It's totally nonsense.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Remember that hypertrophy is just a consequence of improving your abilities, i.e. technique, coordination, volume of training, intensity, density ecc., it is not what you are training for.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ And what do you do in any sport to increase your skills?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ You repeat the movements, consistently and in time, trying to perfect the technique and imprint the perfect movement in your nervous system in order to make it automatic.⁣⁣ Remember there is no such thing as getting bigger if there's not an improvement of your abilities, and in order to better your technique you CAN'T go to failure every time, it would deteriorate quickly and send negative feedbacks to your nervous system.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ THIS IS THE KEY FOR NATURAL INDIVIDUALS.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ You should concentrate in increasing the training variables in time, making the body adapt to them.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Once you've created a solid base, you can put your body under a greater stress by training to failure in some exercises for a period of the year (2/3 months), but only after having undertaken all the rest, otherwise it's just going to be a waste of time.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Stay strong guys and train smartly, don't waste your time!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ #changeyourlife #fatloss #enjoylife #smile
TRAINING NATURAL 🍎 vs DOPED 💉 - PART 1 ⁣ ⁣ Is "No Pain, No Gain" really the best way for natural individuals? 🤔⁣ ⁣ Monofrequency or Multifrequency?⁣ ⁣ Let's see it together!⁣ ⁣ First of all, a bit of story.⁣ ⁣ Before the arrival of steroids, everybody used to train in multifrequency, which means training the same body parts, or better, the same movements and patterns more than once per week, leaving always a buffer and not going to failure every single set, every training was focused on using only big compound movements and muscle isolation wasn't a thing.⁣ ⁣ Then steroids came in, and all of a sudden people started to notice that destroying a certain muscular district by isolating it as much as possible all in one session with a huge volume and lactic acid accumulation (monofrequency), was definitely the key to get bigger.⁣ ⁣ Obviously these people started to promote their fancy workouts and ignorant people who didn't know the secret behind their results followed their guidelines.⁣ ⁣ What happened?⁣ ⁣ Someone (very few, genetically lucky) got very big, all the others got better for some months and then got stuck with no or little results.⁣ ⁣ This is still happening right now, unfortunately people still think that training to failure all the time is the key to betterment and muscle hypertrophy. ⁣ ⁣ Let me ask you a question, how many people with a great body do you see around the gym?⁣ ⁣ Very few or none right?⁣ ⁣ I'll tell you why, because statistically, that is not the optimal way.⁣ ⁣ Ever since steroids came in, it has been thought that muscle damage was the key to growth, but luckily science went on and this is  now the truth about what you should base your trainings on (In order of importance):⁣ ⁣ - Mechanical Tension (60%)⁣ - Metabolic Stress (30%)⁣ - Muscle damage (10%)⁣ ⁣ What is that mean?⁣ ⁣ To be continued ------> Part 2⁣ ⁣ #changeyourlife #fatloss #enjoylife #smile

Great graphic/post from @hybridperformancemethod  Often an athlete will hit a roadblock along the way that stunts their development. Here are 5 common reasons in depth why many fail to reach or have delayed progress of their strength goals . . 1) #nopainnogain Mentality - never use "the burn" or delayed onset muscle soreness as a barometer for how effective your workouts are. Sometimes these will accompany the workout, sometimes they won't, but to force those conditions every time will lead to over training and possibly injury. . 2) No Delineation of Seasons - or playing "the long game". If you're always chasing immediate results, the 6 week transformation, whatever you want to call it, you will again end up over training. The body needs a break from rigor. In any effective program you'll likely be pushing hard from twelve weeks to six months, more or less depending on your goals. When you finish, you'll need to hit that reset button if you want to continue to make significant progress year after year and prevent burnout. . 3) Avoiding Exercises You Need but Don't Like. You know who you are. You do squats but hate deadlifts. You shy away from isometric work. Foam rollers are a waste of your time. Cardio is some sort of foreign language. I have a rule: if you don't like it, do it more. "Embrace the suck" and you achieve super human powers, guaranteed. . 4) Staying Sub Max Too Often - simply put: if you don't find and train near your threshold, how are you supposed to push it further? Many get too comfortable and are content with 50% loads. This is not how you increase strength, it is an exercise in mediocrity at best. If you want strength, your goal should be progressive overload. . 5) Lack of Deloads - this is almost the same as #nopainnogain. Without adequate rest, the body will start to break down. Regularly scheduled rest periods will allow you to recover fully and the body to repair trauma. Often you will feel your best after a week of little to no training.

This cosy wood panelled warm studio is perfect for switching off from the outside world, reflecting on inner rhythm, and practising deep selfobservances. Loved teaching Matwork #pilates and #circusfit Aerial Yoga here this lunchtime. Moving towards midwinter I feel strongly the pull to retreat and reserve my energy. CORE EXERCISE - This is a core/abdominal exercise that I highly recommend to all of you. One if the reasons I recommend the exercises I do is to give you all exercises that you can complete with very minimal chance of getting injured. 🚨 When working on strengthening your core it is important to have a strong lower back. So much of you suffer with lower back issues simply because you have a curve that pushes your glutes outwards. This is due to a weak lower back and usually weak transverse abdominals (lower an muscles). 🚨 Be sure to lift up your upper body from your back and chest and not your neck. DO YOU KNOW HOW TO BENCH? 🤯⁣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ How many people are complaining that they don't see their chest grow with the bench press or they feel pain in the shoulders or worse they get injured? 😐⁣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ It's simple, because they're not activating the chest, but the shoulders instead. 😅⁣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ Here are some quick tips for you:⁣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ 🔸️ No matter if your goal is building muscles or lifting more, keep your scapulas retracted and depressed, this will raise your chest and create an arch in your UPPER back which is totally SAFE. 🤘⁣ 🔸️ Keep the feet steady on the ground, it creates stability and will help you to keep the set-up throughout. PLEASE don't keep them raised and crossed because some fake guru said it 😖⁣ 🔸️ The elbows are in line with the wrists and the wrists are as straight as possible, this will make you able to push at all times perfectly, it's simple biomechanics, don't open your elbows or either keep them close to the body, you wouldn't do it naturally! 📒 ⁣ 🔸️ Pause at the chest every rep and don't bounce on the chest. Pausing at the most difficult point of the lift will make you learn how to deal with the weight in the most efficient way possible and it will allow you to perform a powerful push. 💪 ⁣ 🔸️ Think about every rep singularly, lockout your elbows at the end, breathe again, set up and go. 🤔 ⁣ 🔸️ If your goal is lifting more weight, you want to try to reduce as much as possible the range of movement by having a larger grip.
