here’s how I got into the BEST shape of my life 🌟 . when it comes to nutrition in the fitness world, for me it was a constant mind game . “I need to get back on my meal plan” “omg I just ate 7 Oreos I might as well go all in cause F it” . I struggled with binge eating for years, especially when I was “eating clean”. The worst part was my negative self talk. Talking down on myself for getting Taco Bell (no one will see hehe). I would mindlessly eat as a result of emotions I had NOT worked through . I would use my emotions and let it out in my food habits rather than to just work THROUGH it with myself in the moment, pushing the emotions down down down until ope one day here it is again, 1 whole pint of Ben and Jerry’s later . Ive done it all, low carb, high carb, high protein, low calorie, high calorie, carb cycling, fasting .... alllllll..... but you know what has worked . 🌟Mindfully ACKNOWLEDGING HOW I feel BEFORE I eat 🌟changing my PERSPECTIVE on how I SAW food in my life . I began to STUDY and even WRITE down my emotions on why I was wanting to binge eat in that moment and every time it was because of how I was FEELING about myself in a negative way. I THANK God every time before I eat “how amazing it is that I get to eat fresh fruits and veggies everyday” (perspective) I started to understand and work through my triggers when it came to my binge eating . YAS meal plans work, diets, fasting they work, but if you STRUGGLE with your RELATIONSHIP with food, using it as your therapist rather than your key source to LIFE, you will never break the cycle . Not having to worry about what I eat has ALLOWED me to put all my energy towards other outlets in my life KNOWING I have a great relationship with food because I mindfully choose foods and mindfully acknowledge how I feel before eating .
