Efter jobbet hoppade jag in i bilen och åt mitt ägg och macka i bilen. Väl hemma en kaffe och mys med familjen. Sedan sa det PANG. Jisses vad trött jag blev. Men en plan ÄR en plan. Den rubbar man inte på. Så sagt och gjort - här sitter jag svettig efter en GRIT strenght. Glá för att jag tog mig igenom det tänkta passet. Ge det 10 min in i passet så är du hemma i matchen. Men det är de där första minuterna som du måste kämpa på. Sedan fixar kroppen resten. Truth! 🙌🏼 In this “instant gratification society” where things are expected to land on our laps the moment we think about them; the food NEEDS to be ready when we pull up to the window; the content HAS to pop up on my screen within milliseconds after I click on it or else we lose it, we also think that the outcome needs to show up the moment we DECIDE to do or change something.... It is an absolute necessity to remind our kiddos (and even more importantly ourselves) over and over again that there is a time for everything... and there is time needed for the good and great things to manifest. And yes, that one uber-healthy meal in 20 years or that one three hour workout within the last 30 years is NOT going to show up as a huge immediate change - it might actually have a reverse effect initially... might even hurt you! Just as taking one class does not make you the world’s best in that particular field! Some of you may have read on my feed earlier this year that I separated from my spouse of 12 years. Divorce is not pretty. Especially when kids are involved. You are ending a future you had imagined and planned for. It contained wishes, goals and dreams that you were currently working towards. So... you not only have to let go of your spouse emotionally and romantically, practically and financially, you also have to let go of your common hopes, dreams and wishes that you had internalized as part of yourself, yourself as part of the couple. This last part was the toughest for me to adjust to. A lot of realignment takes place during transitions like these. A SH*T TON of a lot. What saved me from the initial inner sense of doom was the Desire Map process. I was feeling so disconnected from my own self from the rupture, that I had no idea who I was in my future anymore. Because it used to be “our” future. I had to find my Core Desire Feelings and begin envisioning a future that contained MY CORE in it. MY dreams. MY goals. MY wishes. MY CORE DESIRES. [The Emotional Rollercoaster] Happy. Sad. Angry. Frustrated. Relieved. Joyous. Excited…the list goes on. 🌟Emotions can be a B!🌟 They change in moment. They change without notice. They impact your decisions - negatively and positively. They cause us to regret the decisions we make "in the moment." They cause us to forget all logic for a moment. I know you know what I am talking about. This is my normal rollercoaster: ✅ I am happy. ✅ I am sad and cry…for no reason. ✅ I reflect. ✅ I figure out why. ✅ I remember who I am again. ✅ I am in a better mental place ✅ I was cry again…I guess I was wrong about the previous couple statements. ✅ I reflect more… I am not great at ending this cycle on my own. Many (most…all) times it requires talking to someone to sort though my thoughts. Many times I react to my emotions at first by messaging friends in a "panicked and anxious" state. Never anything bad, just venting my frustrations or feelings. Eventually, the logic returns. With all that said, these cycles don't happen too frequently (anymore), but have been again recently. Between approaching the end of the year and writing my book, I have been doing a lot of reflecting. It is bringing up a lot of emotions in the process - both positive and negative. It has caused me to react in ways I wouldn't have had I waited for the logic to return. But it has also been an incredible way for me to clear my head, access my subconscious, access my creativity. Why do I bring this up? First off, I really don't know. 😂 ✅ Maybe it is to remind you to avoid reacting to your emotions and instead wait to do or say anything until the logic resumes. ✅ Maybe it is to remind you that this cycle is normal. ✅ Maybe it is to remind you that reflecting on your life - the good and bad - can be an amazing thing, an incredible thing! Emotions can be a B, but they can also be amazing! It all depends on how you view it. 😊 #mindset

I have to give a serious shout out to @sbackalu. As is usual for me, I did leg day Tuesday. Finished my workout and in strolls Sally. .. She readily admitted she didnt want to be there. But you know what? She showed up! .. I said you're here might as well get a workout in. .. While it may not have been her best or hardest workout to date, she was determined to show up. That alone can be the absolute hardest thing to do. .. I'm so proud of her for showing up and putting in the work. Of course she felt accomplished once complete. .. That's just it y'all. When your mind is telling you, "Ehhh I don't wanna" is the exact time you MUST. .. Push through that mental barrier once and it will become easier to do it again and again until it becomes a habit. I promise you will be so glad you did.
I love myself enough to believe I should have the dreams/goals I see in my mind. Because of a deep practice of self worth, I am then able to take a courageous and brutally honest look at my self. Through self awareness, I can accurately identify where my habits need to change in order to reach my goals. From there I begin the struggle to implement the self discipline to change.
