Sunday Brunch! . . My family and I enjoyed a delicious brunch today at The Montford (rooftop bar) in downtown Asheville. I had the gluten free/grain free sweet potato hash, and I will definitely make this at home. It was healthy, had tons of flavor, and is simple to recreate. . . It was diced roasted sweet potatoes, diced onions, diced roasted sweet peppers, and crumbled goat cheese topped with an egg (I'll make mine with an over easy egg since I prefer a runny yolk). . . Tonight we got fancy with this @paleomg recipe for Crispy Skin Salmon with Béarnaise Sauce and my favorite Mashed Garlic Cauliflower from @nomnompaleo. This was delicious and nourishing, but I have two issues with this meal: 1. I have so much béarnaise left over. Who wants some? 2. My kitchen is now a disaster zone. So many moving pieces and contraptions required!
Gingerbread Caramel Bowl . . - 6 frozen bananas - 1/4 cup plant milk (start with less) - 1 tsp cinnamon, ground - 0.25 tsp cardamom, ground Topping - Rawnola - Caramel Sauce HOW 1. Add all the ingredients into a high speed blender (preferably with a tamper/stick to push with) or a food processor. Blend until smooth 2. It may take a while and you will have to stop a few times to scrape the sides of your food processor or blender (if you have a Vitamix, you will have to stop once in a while to empty air bubbles from the bottom of the blender) 3. Serve in bowls and top with the rawnola (or granola) and the Salted Caramel sauce! .
