8 weeks... This it what I was able to accomplish in 8 weeks. From North Americans to Nations. The day after North Americans I told myself, “that’s it shut it down and grow”.. and then a week later I decided that I just couldn’t quit and that I’d put in as much work as I needed to grow and to be able to come in fuller. I had to try again. I’m glad I did because it was nice to see what my body is capable of doing when being pushed more than what it’s used to. For this time around I will be taking off for 6 months of “offseason” and then go from there. I did this with a lot of food and consistency 🙌🏻. I am so excited to see what the outcome will be for 2019. #naturalathlete #transformationtuesday

I didn’t do this because I hated my body — I did it because I love it. If you love something, you look after it. You want the best for it — and you want it to feel it’s best. - On the left I was fuelled by hatred. Exercise was punishment and food was earned. On the right, I’m fuelled by love. Love gets you up at 6am for that workout not because you’ll feel bad if you don’t but because you’ll feel damn good if you do. Love let’s you enjoy food without guilt. Love doesn’t have a size. It isn’t a number — on the scale, in your jeans. It’s a feeling, a mindset, a motivation. Hate? That gets you nowhere.

Stepping {literally} out of my comfort zone with this new program!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But that’s what makes this sustainable; trying new things, pushing your limits and having an open mind. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In January I will be taking my girls through this new fitness program: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ + 20 minutes per day + 6 days a week ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Only equipment you’ll need is a step — moves can also be done without a step AND full modifications are available. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was able to try out a test workout this afternoon and two things came to mind: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨How excited I am for this new challenge/change ✨How impactful this program is going to be physically AND mentally for me and all of my girls ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Our #girlriseup group will open the first week of January but we are prepping right now 🖤 Ending 2018 on a strong note and will be prepared to crush the first quarter of 2019. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you have a plan yet?! ✨

🏋🏽‍♀ Face Pulls 🏋🏽‍♀ This was my finisher for the upper body workout because it absolutely kills! It’s also great for the shoulders, the upper back and it helps improve the posture.  P.S. My legs are still burning from the previous leg day and now my upper body is on fire from this killer workout 😭

I don’t have the body type which stays lean easily, in fact quite the opposite!!..However Ive seemed to put on muscle fairly quick over the years so it has its pros & cons I guess🤷‍♀️ Little fact, the pic on the right was a check in pic to Donna ( @dondizzley ) in October this year. After I’d sent it, she sent me a voice note straight away which made me cry! (In a good way!) And I’m not a crier😂! It was a real turning point in the prep where I thought “Maybe I’m actually alright at this!?” The point of this is that, it takes a F-ing long time to really make changes BUT it’s SO worth it. Happy Transformation Tuesday ✌️There’s a lot going on here so let me explain - 2016 is back when I first started lifting. I didn’t really count calories/macros, just tried to go to the gym no matter what, even if it was for 10 minutes that day. My mentality was “at least you went.” . . This mentality helped me develop the habit of going to the gym. I wasn’t going anymore just to look “better”—I went because it came naturally to me, because I was used to going, and because I always felt better afterwards. . . Fast forward 2 and a half years. I’m still figuring it out. The gym is still sometimes a struggle, but more often it’s a struggle to take a rest day than to go workout. I love the endorphins, the small changes, the atmosphere...all of it! This year in particular, I started paying more attention to my diet/nutrition. I needed to be honest with myself about how much I ate, and I needed to confront my unhealthy eating habits (usually restricting and then overeating/binging). . . I’m still not fully “there” yet. I still have days where I overeat despite being full, but I’m working on it. Body changes add up and take time; mental changes and habit-building are the same. I’ve learned so much, but still have a lot more to learn ✨ . .
