I’m a little behind on the #tiuholidayhustle calendar 🎄but loved reading a lot of your motivational quotes. Mine has become “focus on your strength not your weight”. These pins from Pinterest help add to that. The Kat Williams one made me laugh 🤣 (pic2). . . . This year was very cathartic for me and my fitness goals. I went from obsessing over calories burned on my Apple Watch, doing endless cardio, borderline binge eating when I had a “cheat meal” 🤦🏼♀️ to now: I want to lift heavy and perform at my best level. I eat a ton of food and enjoy my life. . . @kp_ingitsimple once posted how her “booty became her glutes and her abs became her core” and that really resonated with me. CORE, GLUTE, & HAMSTRING WORK 🔥 A big focus for me as I train for my next #halfmarathon 🏃♀️ Bridges are a fantastic way to strengthen these areas! There are so many different ways to do them, and I want to share with you one of my favorite variations (swipe left for step-by-step instructions) 👇 Two words: BOSU BALL! You can place your feet on the ball side (easier) or on the flat side (harder). Start by laying down with your back flat on the mat, knees bent, and feet on the ball with toes pointing straight ahead. To perform one rep, slowly lift your hips towards the sky until they are in line with your shoulders and knees, and focus on squeezing your booty! Then lower your hips and return to the starting position. I recommend starting with 2 sets of 12-20 reps 🙌 What’s an exercise you’re loving right now?

Check ins today - weight is at 126.4. I’m feeling fuller and I’m ok with it. Ok with where my body wants to be. I’m not about to pick myself apart either because I’m not “stage ready” year round. It’s ok! We all have different metabolisms and different things we’re working on. Am I a cardio queen during prep, yep. That’s ok too! Would I like to do less? Yeah. However, I do what I need to do to get myself mentally and physically ready. This is the first time in a long time that my mindset feels healthy during my off season. Not beating myself up. Not freaking out if the number on the scale doesn’t stay at 120. I talked to @_angelarutherford_ on the phone the other day and we were talking about learning how to be more kind to ourselves during our off seasons and not freaking out if we aren’t perfect. We are human! 🤷🏻♀️ So I’m going to just continue to enjoy the ride. Guten Abend an Tag 597 Naja... Gut nicht. Heute morgen schon mit nem ganz schlechten Gefühl im Bauch aufgewacht was den tag über schlechter wurde. Kein hunger und unheimlich Druck und Schmerz im Bauch. Der Spaziergang hat es dann auch nicht besser gemacht. Paracetamol und schlafen haben dann auch keine Besserung ergeben. Also auf zum @lidlde und Tee kaufen. Da die Kalorien bis dahin nur aus 40 kcal für die #essentials von @morenutrition.de bestanden hab ich mit 1 trost Überraschungs-Ei gekauft und bekomm natürlich den Doktor Schlumpf 🙈 Also hab ich dann selbst entschieden was für mich das beste ist und hab neben einer weiteren magenschutztablette eine iboprofen genommen und mittlerweile 2 Gläschen babybrei gegessen. Wuhuw! Langsam geht es mir wieder besser und der tee tut gut. Ich hoffe weitere solche Tage bleiben mir erspart. Morgen werd ich nicht so viel laufen. Suelo encontrarme con atletas que quieren trabajar conmigo para mejorar el rendimiento en su deporte y si bien es algo que me motiva especialmente, casi siempre me encuentro con los mismos problemas.. A cierto nivel, la mayoría de deportes demandan una exigencia muy grande del atleta. Sumando eso con una mala planificación solemos obtener acumulación de fatiga, lesiones o molestias, rendimiento muy poco constante, malestar del atleta, baja motivación, etc. . Por eso es de vital importancia establecer los pilares de la preparación, dar importancia al entrenamiento de fuerza buscando la máxima transferencia al deporte, entrenar al atleta para que aprenda a moverse con patrones básicos de movimiento y priorizar el descanso y la reducción del estrés en la medida de lo que nos sea posible. También será vital, fijar una ingesta de calorías al nivel de la exigencia física, de no ser así el rendimiento bajará en picado y la fatiga aparecerá rápidamente. Una vez programado el entrenamiento, éste último punto suele ser el valor determinante a la hora de que un atleta note un aumento del bienestar, de la vitalidad que siente y obviamente del rendimiento. . En futuros posts indagaremos más en el método que usamos con Miki para mejorar su rendimiento en el fútbol sala. Con tan solo 10 semanas las diferencias son brutales! Por el momento recomendaría a los curiosos, incorporar a vuestra rutina ejercicios como el Duck walk, el hang (quedar colgando de una barra) y el ponerse a cuclillas, no son ejercicios muy usuales pero tienen alta transferencia tanto en multitud de deportes como en la salud.

Overnight Zucchini Oats topped with Mango, Granola & Yoghurt 😋👌🏻 . Recipe: @sarahs_spoonful . 1/3 cup oats rolled or quick 1/4 zucchini 1/2 cup water or milk of choice see notes 1 tsp vanilla essence 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp maple syrup optional . Instructions: Grate the zucchini. If you don’t want bits of green in your oats, peel first! Add all ingredients to an airtight container, stir and seal. If using water as your base liquid, I like to boil the kettle and add it hot to help the oats soften. Place container in fridge overnight. When ready to serve, add desired toppings such as fresh fruit, yogurt and granola.
It’s not sexy training ❌ nooo ☝️It’s not at high intensity, not highly skilled (or arguably, highly interesting 😬). • • • But combining these conditioning-style workouts has really helped my other sessions and provides a lower impact workout for my nervous system - which generally gets hammered at work and in my other sessions 🙄 • • • Here I did 10/20/30/40/30/20/10 reps of each: air squats, box step-ups, floor-to-overhead with a plate, press-ups and butterfly abs. • • • It’s a good one to do when you’re perhaps “not feeling it”, recovering from another workout, or need to workout at home/in the park. It shouldn’t feel too gassy (nice steady breathing)💨 and you hopefully won’t feel DOMS the following day 👍 you might ask “why bother?” I’ve found that these workouts make me far more efficient when I then add resistance or want to go ham on the intensity 🙃👋 and all the other reasons above! 💯#buildinganengine #conditioning#capacity
