This is me, post winning the @centurionrunning North Downs Way 50. I had raced hard for 52 miles, got a bit lost and still pushed to the line. The exhaustion over came me and I just had to lie down. I had no idea @stumarchphoto had snapped it. I absolutely love this photo. It takes me straight back there and reminds me just how hard it is to race at the front for 50 miles, to push and compete with another runner for miles and miles. Spent some time on the mat today, and my entire being feels renewed. This last week was emotionally rough for me, and in turn I didn’t do much physically. Stretching and doing some light core was a great way to get me ready for a full week of HIIT and run training. . Exercise isn’t just about the physical changes.. but sometimes I really need days like today, to remind me of all the good it does mentally too.
When you agree to do a 10k because there's pudding involved. 🤸 Over the moon that I managed to run the whole way for today's Christmas pudding race with the fam, and the sun was shining! Boy, did that training pay off. And the family that runs together...
Couldn’t of had a more Christmassy (is that a word????) weekend if I tried! 45 wreaths handmade, majority now delivered, and a decent bit of money raised for a good cause in the process. 💗 . Christmas tree finally up at HQ, and plenty of fizz has been drank! 🎄🍾 . Random freak fall resulting in a very swollen big toe meant my @runup2christmas target took a bit of a bashing and I’m currently 15k off where I planned to be at this point of the month 😩 Cautious 5k this evening and it seemed ok so hoping a couple of longer run commutes home this week and I might claw some of it back 🤞🏼 So many of you guys are smashing this challenge and keeping me motivated with your posts and stories, it really is such a good challenge for such a great cause 🥰
