Hit up the treadmill this morning because as much as I like summer rain, I wasn't feeling it. I'm glad to have the treadmill as an option, even though it is can be difficult to stay motivated. Mixed it up today by varying speed: .5 mile @ 6.5 mph .5 mile @ 7.5 mph .5 mile @ 6.5 mph .25 mile @ 8.0 mph .5 mile @ 6.5 mph .5 mile @ 7.5 mph .25 mile @ 6.5 mph Just a little sweaty (ha) and feeling pretty, pretty good. Today's training #squats 315x5 / 357.5x3 / 400x1x2 and #bench 192.5x5 / 217.5x3 /242.5x1x2 . Depth is... questionable on this top single shown. I think I really only made it to parallel. Oh well, I'll bury it next time. Squats felt great despite the heels and the knees doing stupid crap, and despite that I've just been doubting myself in the gym for a while. The last couple sessions I've been doubting the amount of weight I can move and I'm making this tougher than it should be. I stopped doubting today and training felt better because of it. Bench was okay, albeit slow. No accessory lifts. . Heading back to Indiana to see my best buddy and to go see @newfoundglory in Indy tonight for my birthday (which was yesterday, but I couldn't ask the band to switch days - we're not THAT tight).
