TIP 2: How to enjoy the holiday treats stress/guilt-free, feel 100% in control & NOT gain weight! . Set 3-5 non-negotiable boundaries. . Here are my 3 & if you need a place to start, start with these too: ✖️good quality protein + 1 serving of veggies with EVERY meal. - Protein is very satiating & will help to keep you full, reducing the chances of overeating. Veggies are full of FIBER (also helps to keep you full) and are full of vitamins and minerals our body needs to function. . ✖️Drink at least 100 oz of water a day. - Hydration is SO important EVERY DAY. It helps reduce hunger and cravings, boost energy/mood, etc. Drinking at least 100 oz or your body weight is necessary! . ✖️Move for at least 20 minutes a day to HONOR my body. - Movement is just amazing for your body in general. Getting a workout in 3-4 days a week to sweat will help with your mood, reduce mental stress (especially walks/runs in nature) while burning calories at the same time! I loveee talking walks in the morning for 10-20 minutes and then 10-20 minutes in the afternoon (maybe around a lunch break). . Don’t forget, all boundaries need to be made out of love for your body, not a punishment. The minute we use these as a punishment, the minute the mental restrictions and deprecation comes back (defeating the purpose). . LESS JUDGEMENT, MORE HONORING YOUR HEALTH. . If you accomplish these non-negotiable boundaries every day, you’re moving the needle forward regardless if you’re having a few treats or not. 😊 . Another day another workout! My main focus this holiday season is to just be consistent with hitting the gym! I’m still being mindful off my nutrition and indulging on occasion. I truly believe this holiday season hasn’t been stressful because I’ve decided to allow myself to indulge within moderation when needed! Because of that I never feel restricted and noticed I eat till I’m satisfied instead of way over indulging like many years before! I guess that’s today’s fitness tip, moderation not deprivation!! Today’s workout was quick but effective. * 20 kettlebell swings - 30 seconds rest * 10 burpees - 30 seconds rest * 10 one arm snatches each side - 30 seconds rest * 25 toe touches - 30 seconds rest * 15 lateral raises & 10 jump squats - 30 seconds rest * 12 squat over head press - 30 seconds rest * REPEAT circuit 4x times! #fitmas#motivation#iifym#circuittraining#circuitworkout#getfitwithme#health#fitnessmotivation
A good booty building exercise paired with a wonderful advanced technique are a sure fire way to have those glutes on fyaaa 🔥🔥 I did 4 rounds of these at the end of my workout with 90 second rest in between! Technique: MTUT 3’s (introduced to me by @samtheman244) Exercise: barbell hip thrust Execution: Choose a weight that you can easily do 10-12 reps with. Do 3 controlled medium pace reps followed with one very (painfully) slow concentric and eccentric. Repeat 3 times for one set. Give this a try and let me know how you like it!! Strength challenge day! I liked this one! I couldn't stand yesterday's speed agility challenge...I am neither speedy nor agile, and I learned that I can't count reps and do agility drills simultaneously. 🤣 But I know that completing this program start to finish, whether I like the exercises or not, will get me in awesome shape! I already feel much leaner since starting a week ago. Two more weeks to go! 💪
Sundays are my favorite day to hit the reset button, do some grocery shopping, meal prep and prepare for the week ahead. Staying on top of your health & fitness is a process, it requires consistency and it requires you to push yourself even when you don’t feel like it. The key is to fall in love with the process, that way you will never want to give up on yourself 🙏🏼
Are you starting ANOTHER diet tomorrow (Monday)? 3 Reasons why DIETS DON'T WORK! 🍒 1) Dieting isn't sustainable - Restricting certain foods creates cravings and we can only hold out for so long and then ended up "cheating" or binge-eating 🍒 2) Dieting perpetuates the guilt-shame cycle - We feel ashamed for letting ourselves get to this point, so we overeat/binge/eat like 💩 - We then feel guilty for overeating/binging/eating like shit, so we eat some more - 🔁Repeat. I used to be the girl with a head full of excuses (time, money, doubt, etc.) to not take control of my health and happiness, UNTIL I found this. Until I had someone to help me see through my excuses. Here’s what I realized👇🏼 1. I didn’t have time, because that’s what I was telling myself. So, I stopped saying “I don’t have time” and started saying “it’s not a priority”. That was a huge reality check and I started MAKING the time to dedicate 30 minutes to my health each day, because my health should be TOP priority. (That 30 minutes of sleep didn’t do much. I thought it was the end of the world, but it’s been almost a year and I’m still alive, happier than ever😂) 2. I CUT corners on my budget to find the money. Idk what y’all are spending on your health and fitness journey, but I made a one time investment in my health and happiness, that equated to me cutting 3 Starbucks drinks a month.... That gave me unlimited workouts, nutrition and support/accountability for a whole year... LIKE COME ON, why did I even hesitate?!😅😳 3. Lastly and MOST importantly... I stopped letting fear and my past failure hold me back. “I had tried a million times before” why would this be any different? 😇Happy Birthday Grandpa😇 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I learned a powerful lesson the day my Grandpa died. It’s crazy that you can literally remember the day your life just completely changes and your perspective on everything shifts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I lived with my Grandpa for almost a year when I was 18 so I was very close with him. He was battling cancer for quite some time and it was super hard on me because at this time I was literally living on the other side of the world. So about 3 years ago I booked a flight to Argentina to go see him but he ended up passing away a week before I got there. I was crushed, I was angry and I felt so guilty that I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That year after his passing I thought about him a lot. It was a very hard time but as sad as it was, my perspective shifted drastically. It reminded me every single day, that things can happen in the blink of an eye. I stopped focusing on the “things” that I had or wanted to have and started focusing on the person I wanted to become. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It was a very sad time in my life where I was also blessed with the biggest gift of all. The gift of realizing how precious time was and that has incredibly impacted who I am today. He was my motivation for taking charge of my life. I knew I wanted my life to be full of memories and love. To this day I always stay true to who I am no matter what I’m doing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As much as we could go back in time and change our past, the hard times are what really end up molding us into beautiful, caring souls.
