Day 18 and today I nominate @mauffster  I'll be doing 22 push-ups a day for 22 days to raise awareness for combat veterans, 22 vets a day are committing suicide, it's tragic and we need to challenge ourselves to raise awareness. If you know of someone who is in need of help, call 1-800-237-8255 The rules are simple: * Once you are nominated, your 22 days will commence the following day * Every day you will record yourself completing 22 push-ups. Try your very best to reach 22. If that means doing assisted (from your knees) push-ups or that you have to stop and take a break that's fine but try to get them all done in one video * Every day you must nominate a different person, try to choose people you think will want to do this and/or have the ability to do it * And finally, have fun with this. This guy has been training like a beast! 💪💪💪💪⁣ ⁣ @anothergreektragedy has been training with me for just over 4 months now and his work ethic is crazy! From training 3 times a week 1-on-1 and 2 group sessions, his results have been amazing!⁣ ⁣  With a wedding coming up, I can only guarantee he is going to work harder 🙏⁣ ⁣ "I train because it makes me feel good about myself. It’s as simple as that. I played a lot of sport as a teenager and University student, but feel out of it as life got busy. Training gives me back the shine that I had when I was more active, and I’ve been told it makes me a much nicer person to be around. I continue to train, and train hard, because I want to see those sorts of improvements. My attitude is better, because I feel better about myself. I feel less tired all the time because I’m actually active. My PT, Justin, has helped a lot with this as I feel like I’ve been making much more progress than I ever was alone. Week # 6 on the labrum/bicep rehab train for Erin, she’s been putting in all of the daily work at home, and it’s really paying off.. • overall strength, stability, and range of motion is getting better with each passing week. Physical therapy homework: 30 steps backwards with resistance band x 3 sets. Feet shoulder width apart and parallel. I threw the dumbbell in I guess because I hate myself • Purpose here is to strengthen hip muscles which improves biomechanics, and thus back pain (or even knee pain). Even if you don’t have back pain I suspect most of us have relatively weak hip muscles - a setup for musculoskeletal injury. After running 5 supersets it cleans to deadlifts I asked DeAndre and Blake to throw up one more superset for ‘the show.’ They were worn. They were tired. They knew there was a chance to fail but they stepped up and did it any way. *  Something that andyfrisella talks about on his podcasts are ‘test days’- days that we are put up against adversity. How do we tackle those adversities? Do we make excuses and say fuck it I’ll do it tomorrow or do we go head down and grind? He says it’s about executing regardless of your emotions. Our good friend jdeanrealtor let me borrow his cardilloweightbelts cardilloweightbelts and today was day one of using it. Never used a weight belt before, but after doing some research I figured I’d give it a shot. Technically a weight belt is not supporting your back- what it’s really doing is giving your core something to push against thus helping keep your spine aligned.- That being said, this belt was amazing. I’ve heard from many people how great Cardillo belts were, but trying it first hand was eye opening. After running heavy squat/box squat/deadlift supersets I was able to throw in farmer’s carries to the set with 315lbs for no problem.
