The link between Gut and brain The human gut is colonized by microbiota early in life. It is now recognized that bacteria in the gut have many beneficial function and play a key role in immune system development and protection against pathogens. At birth, the infant gut is sterile, and becomes colonized with bacteria during delivery. Thereafter, the microbial content of the intestine is determined by environmental exposure and host genetics. Post-partum, diet is arguably the greatest environmental determinant of the intestinal microbiota with high variability within the gut microbiome during the first year of life as well as the negative influence vaccines have on Gut Microbiome . The intestinal microbiome makeup thus is host-specific, dynamic, and sensitive to dietary influence, particularly in infancy. Microbiota and Immune Homeostasis. Intestinal microbiota are increasingly recognized for their role in regulating immune cell homeostatis. Signals from intestinal bacteria are known for priming systemic immune responses and for regulating pro- and anti-inflammatory host immune responses These include T regulatory cells (Tregs) and T helper 17 (Th17) cells These interconnections between intestinal tissue and microbiota are delicate and can be easily disrupted The consequences of disruption can include inflammation and sepsis not only in the gut but also the brain too. #anxiety, #stress, #ibs, #chrohns, #depression, #altzhemiers, #allergies, #fatigue, #autoimmune, #lowenergy, #autism have all been linked to poor gut health. To many people are suffering, never really knowing the underlying cause of their issues and are subjected to a life time of prescription meds which are not nessasary once the cause has been established. We at Bio Mineral Balance have now introduced an 88 Bio Marker Microbiome/ Mycobiome and Parasite gut health check. To find the answer to your issues. Please enquire.
I did a thing. . I’ve always had a sensitive stomach. Acid reflux runs in my family. Spicy, acidic and greasy foods can sometimes leave me feeling cruddy. . So I decided to take a food sensitivity test through @everlywell! . The verdict: I don’t have an major sensitivities to food. Now sensitivities are not allergies and can change over time so who knows, I might be taking another one of these in the future. . For now though I’m going to continue eating a fresh and whole as possible help manage my sensitive stomach and keep the acid reflux at bay.

Hello Everyone! In the last year I have recently discovered and began my food sensitivity journey. • I am creating this place, to help educate, fellowship, raise awareness and also in hopes to lift the burdens from some of how hard it is on a daily basis to consume foods that are healthy for OUR very individual and precious bodies. • • I will post recipes that I have created or enjoy to help share with you all things I have found that can help make meal prepping easier and food more enjoyable and flavorful! • • • The main allergens I personally avoid are; #dairy, #wheat, #eggs, #shellfish, #crustaceans, #tuna, #soy, and also what I have personally avoided before also #coconut, #sesame, #mustard. I will be sure to post what #allergens are present in my recipes, my trusted brands, and also make suggestions as to what #substitutions will be best to avoid all other allergens as much as possible. • • • If you’re new to #foodsensitivities, I invite you to come under my wing and all others who join me here. When I was first aware of my 18 food allergens, I was so overwhelmed and it felt impossible. I couldn’t find any ideas or recipes that I could gain inspo from or make at all! My Doctor gave me no help with recipes. I literally starved my body for the first couple weeks and then I felt that in side effects that hurt my health, hurt my hair and skin, etc because it was so hard to figure out how to live a #healthy, #full and #wellfed life like that! I started to experiment and finally got my footing! And I want to share it with anyone else, especially newbies on this because it can so be overwhelming and frustrating and discouraging. I #hope you will enjoy the posts and recipes to follow -💛Amanda💛 • • • • • #foodallergies#glutenfree#wheatfree#dairyfree#soyfree#eggfree#vegan#recipes#veganrecipes#animalcruelty#peta#foodies#foodiesofinstagram
Chicken pad thai for dinner tonight ❤😁 Absolutely delish, one of our favorites. . Marinate the chicken in soy and cornstarch. Cook in olive oil and lots of garlic. Cook some pad thai rice noodles. Add the noodles to the cooked chicken. Stir in a prepared pad thai sauce of chicken broth, tamarind paste, fish sauce, brown sugar, and sriracha. Garnish with green onion, cilantro, and a lemon or lime wedge. 🍜😛😆😆😆 . Chicken is a great lean protein. Its loaded with potassium and is a great source of niacin! It's a fantastic idea to add some protein to your pasta dishes as it slows digestion and reduces the spike in blood sugar you would usually get with pasta. . Cilantro is a good source of antioxidants. Green onions may be protective against certain types of cancers. Tamarind is anti inflammatory and a source of antioxidants. The brown rice noodle may not be the healthiest choice but they work well in this meal and do have fibre and some B vitamins.
According to Food Allergy Research and Education (@foodallergy), nearly 40 percent of children with food allergies have experienced a severe or life-threatening reaction, such as anaphylaxis, at school. . An allergic reaction can range in severity from itchy skin to a full anaphylaxis, which can result in death. Food allergies are not only serious, they can be embarrassing for the affected children. There is so much stress around what they can eat and where they can eat that they sometimes don’t want to eat anywhere but home. But that’s not always practical. ➡️So how can parents create a safe environment for their children while minimizing the stressors on other individuals that care for them? Do you need to make a lifestyle change to improve your health? Many of us know we need to put in the effort but it seems so daunting. Rather than focusing on how hard the change may be, it might be more beneficial to think about all the positives that will come with your new routine. Small changes in your diet, such as eliminating your food sensitivities, can go a long way towards helping you regain your health. Dr. Nancy Johnson-Rose, D.O., explains her personal experience with food sensitivity testing, “I am in excellent physical condition and have always followed a high protein/low carbohydrate diet, doing yoga several times weekly. Once I turned 58, I started to notice that I was having afternoon fatigue, difficulty sleeping and some mild depression, which I thought were due to work stress. I initially gave up caffeine, sugar, and wheat and noticed some improvement. I then decided to test myself with the Immuno Bloodprint IgG ELISA 1154 Food Sensitivity Assay. To my surprise, I tested positive for sensitivities to several foods which were large parts of my everyday diet, such as cheese, milk, eggs, and yeast. After just one month of following the elimination diet, I not only had fewer cravings, but I also had less swelling around and wateriness in my eyes. Now that I have been following the diet for 3 months, the grand total on my symptom checklist has gone from 15 to 1. Although it does take some effort to change old habits and learn to prepare alternative foods, the rewards are remarkable and very worthwhile.” If you would like more information about food sensitivity testing, please feel free to message us or visit our website, www.immunolabs.com. #cleaneating#inflammation#inflammatoryboweldisease#irritablebowelsyndrome#ibs#biohacking#diet#healthychoices#healthyeating#healthtips#nutrition#digestion#foodallergies#allergies#foodsensitivities#foodintolerance#bloated#bloatedbelly#fitness#healthiswealth#healthy#health
Why am I *still* BLOATED? 🚨If you are driving yourself crazy trying to figure it out, I am going to share 3 common mistakes, which could be keeping you bloated. 1️⃣You are focusing too much on eliminating foods. Think about healing foods & fresh herbs to ADD in to your diet too, rather than just taking food out. 2️⃣Inflammation is present. This is your immune systems response to trouble-making substances that enter your body (eaten, breathed in or absorbed via skin). Choose high-quality water, organic food, colourful fruit & veg and non-toxic beauty / cleaning products. 3️⃣You may be over-exercising & stressing your body. Daily movement is necessary to increase the blood oxygen levels but we don’t need a high-intensity workout to get there. See how your body reacts to more gentle exercise like yoga, stretching & walking outdoors. In the Gut Love Project we focus on getting to the root cause of your bloating & tummy troubles, so you can go back to feeling fabulous in all your fav clothes again. 🦄 ✨Intuitive nutritional therapy & foods that reduce inflammation ✨Raising your energy levels & ditching the sugar cravings ✨Perfecting your digestion & targeted organ support DM me if you know you want support with any of the above so you can start the week feeling your best.💃🏻 . . . #bloated #bloatedtummy #bloatingremedy #digestiontips #foodsensitivities #foodismedicine #fodmapfriendly #guthealing #guthealthy #guthealthmatters #happygut #healfromwithin #healingwithfood #holisticapproach #healthcoaching #holistichealthcoach #holisticlifestyle #ibsdiet #leakygut #mindbodygreen
