Donc la je rêve de boire un Paloma au soleil en terrasse ou les pieds dans l’eau... avec pleins de glaçons et des trucs à grignoter 🥰 mais la réalité c’est plutôt que je suis maman solo (malade aussi sinon c’est pas drôle) pour encore 2 jours et que je passe ma vie au parc et à lire des histoires farfelues. Et c’est tout aussi bien. Mais un Paloma ne serait pas de refus, j’avoue. 🧐 • • Daydreaming of sipping a delicious Paloma cocktail outside, feet in the water maybe... with a lot of ice cubes and a few things to nibble on. But the reality is that my husband is on a business trip for a couple of days and I am living between the park and the library where I read weird books to my daughter. I’ve been waking up lately feeling anxious. This happens to me sometimes - just a little reminder to slow down & breathe. In the meantime I’ve cut out all caffeine (this is Roobis chai) & have begun adding CBD + (occasionally) passionflower to my morning routine. And, meditation, always. ___ I want to take a moment to normalize anxiety & the idea of looking to it for answers and insights. There’s a lot of wisdom in this feeling - What do I need to release? What do I need to voice? What do I need to do? Stop doing? Let it come to you as a friend, greet it kindly & send it on its way when you’re ready.
For me the definition of incredible health is how I feel not how I look. I have weighed less and more than I am now. But I've never felt as great as days that I feel my best on the inside. ➵ Days that my digestion is at its optimal state, days that I wake up feeling ready to conquer the world, days that I have energy all day long, days that I don’t look for validation from others, days that my inner critic is quiet, days that my man tells me I look beautiful and I don’t point out what can be *improved, days that I feel full of life, days that ALL IS GOOD. ➵ What does optimal health mean to you if you let go of the outside pressure? Just got home from an eye doc appointment (highly recommend you eat breakfast prior to any sort of human engagement), so I’ve inhaled this yogurt bowl loaded with my protein chia pudding + a few raspberries for extra fiber + oats because I can’t go without them. Finishing up school work then heading off to train 💪🏻 What’s your Thursday looking like!? Here’s the recipe for the chia pudding. 1 1/2 cups @good_karma_foods unsweetened flaxmilk + protein 1/4 cup @chosenfoods chia seeds 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1 serving @nuzest strawberry vegan protein powder (code rushingtothekitchen saves you money!) Chocolate Caramel Swirl Blondies 🍫 I took my cashew butter blonde brownie recipe, swapped almond butter for cashew butter and swirled in some homemade caramel sauce (coconut cream + honey + vanilla simmered for 30 minutes) and some melted chocolate 😍 the result was an ooey gooey chocolaty dessert that was mouthwateringly delicious 👏🏼 the recipe for the blondies is on my blog!
