Náttúruvín vikunnar (Natural wine of the week) 17.-23. janúar Zanotto Col Fondo - Riccardo Zanotto - Glera . Það var mikið að kom smá freyði. 🍾 Vín þessarar nýju viku hjá okkur er ekkert annað en Zanotto Col Fondo frá Ítalska Prosecco-gerðarmanninum Riccardo Zanotto. . ————— Finally some sparkling 🍾 The wine of the week this time is the beautiful Zonotto Col Fondo from the Italian Prosecco veteran Riccardo Zanotto. Although he also makes white and red but his main focus is the Glera grape a prerequisite for making a Prosecco. . His ideas of winemaking are about creating a wine that takes you to a time and place with good friends drinking good wine without all the fuzz. He doesn’t own a vineyard but spent time and researched where to find the best soil, grapes and farmers where he could be allowed to make his wines. . He considers himself more of a wine taylor than a wine farmer which chooses the best quality produce and tailors from it the most amazing wines.

Is it better to give than to receive? It may be surprising, but for brands, it certainly can be. Giving vouchers to your customers can be an incredible incentive to increase both their spend and their brand loyalty. Also, vouchers help to get customers in-store rather than shopping online - which means they’re more likely to take a risk on a new product. Here’s how we helped one of our clients with the joy of giving.⠀ •⠀ @macknade approached us to help increase their customer spend and attract new customers to their store. First things first: we did our research - a vital step in understanding their customers and therefore what they wanted. We conducted several customer surveys, both in person and online, and wrote up a report. With these results in hand, it was time to get marketing.⠀ •⠀ Based on our audience research we designed a targeted Facebook advertising campaign offering £5 off for every £25 spent in-store. Internally, our goal was to reach 100 vouchers, but within 48 hours, 104 had been issued (for an advertising cost of £3.17!). So we kept the campaign going, and a total of 280 vouchers were issued. In total, 42 vouchers have been redeemed with a minimum basket spend of £25 - so customer spend has been at least £1050 with a discount cost of £210 and an advertising campaign which cost a total of £15.26.⠀ •⠀ The benefits of this campaign were twofold. Firstly, running the campaign online means that the vouchers were available to new customers - anyone who saw the ad could click it and claim the discount, and the ad would be displayed to those most likely to be interested in Macknade’s products. The discount incentivises potential customers who might otherwise have never chosen to shop there. Secondly, the minimum spend means that those wishing to make a saving will need to spend at least £25 - but are likely to spend more. ⠀ •⠀ Everyone loves a bargain. Vouchers - particularly online ones - are highly shareable, very
It’s always the simple things that win your heart over, right? That’s what the new Italian restaurant Sorrentina at Foodhall, Linking Rd. does beautifully. Simple fresh pizzas, with lovely crusty breads. Simple Burratas paired with delish house-made relishes. And a simple Cacio e Pepe Tortelli Pasta dish that simply SINGS! Ain’t saying anything more, but this has ‘Signature Dish’ written all over it, as I told the beaming young Chef Aabhas Mehrotra, who has some clever tricks up his cheffy sleeves❤️ The Potato and Tenderloin Stew was perhaps a tad too simple, and could do with a bit of a flavour lift. The Mushroom Risotto, even without the promised truffle, held its own. In the Dolci, there is, of course, the omnipresent Tiramisu, but this one with an extra coffee kick that I love, served home-style from a big tub... with even second serves for greedies like us! And oh the Gelato... creamy deliciousness, flavours so damn good, especially the Ferrero Rocher-like Hazelnut one. These are a good excuse to shop at Foodhall, just so you can make a quick dash to the 2nd floor for a gelato break. And if you’re there already, might as well try all the flavours, no? 😈👅 . #sorrentina#italianrestaurant#newintown#linkingroad#foodhall#comfortdining#goodfood#cacioepepe#pasta#simplethings#gelatofan#gimmemore#ferrerorocher#mumbairestaurant#newlaunch#romirevs#sayitlikeitis
