Nerd some motivation?? This was my thought process that got me through spin & forced me to keep pushing myself & find that internal drive.... even when I didn’t wanna!!!! ••• First & foremost... if you even have the ability to work out, you definitely need to be counting your blessings bc there are so many people out there who would love to pick up a weight or hop on the treadmill but can’t. So that alone should be enough motivation to get you to push a little harder in the gym with whatever you’re doing bc you physically CAN. But also, when you know you can do one more rep but stop yourself short… honestly why? Like what is it going to hurt or what do you have to lose to push through one more rep?? Spin class today kicked my butt & I didn’t want to keep pushing harder. But then I just kept reminding myself WHY I was there. Whether you want to look better, feel better, have more confidence, or just simply be proud of yourself... that WHY should always stay in the back of your mind. So I reminded myself that I genuenlly loved being there pushing myself & how freaking grateful I am to even be able to do so. So who am I to just decide to quit 10 seconds early on a sprint or knock my resistance down lower than what I know I can do?? Like honestly guys, everytime you cheat yourself nothing comes out of it. NOTHING. But every time you push through instead of quitting... the reward is so much greater than the pain that you had to go through for maybe 5 more seconds. If you atleast can make it to the gym... do yourself a favor & make it worth it. Not every workout will be great, but you can at least TRY to make every workout great. So basically what I’m trying to say here is... next time you go for the 15lb dumbbells knowing you can do 20’s no problem... grab the freaking 20’s & think about how much closer you are getting to your goal !!!!!!
