artifacts / legend has it that David Tisdale traded these anodized aluminum coasters and spoons for a bracelet my mom had made and was wearing at The May Show while at the Cleveland Museum of Art. (Edit: I misinterpreted the legend... I guess the trade was in the metals studio at Kent during during a visit) #davidtisdale - heat treated stainless - titled “smoosh (magnified felt)” had won entry into @clevelandmuseumofart The May Show in 1984 and I wanted to see what I could could find from the show of her work for #womenshistorymonth. She completed her BFA at Kent State in ‘85 in fiber and metals. My brother and I would play with the configuration of these coasters endlessly. swipe to see what I found. #80svibes
