Strength Everyone wants it. Men may flaunt it. Women often find it from within. Children need to be sheltered with it to feel safe. The elderly eventually lose it but hold onto it as long as possible. It's the final push after exhaustion hits critical levels after 26 hours of labour before the child is born. It's the last few steps to complete the marathon or reach the mountain peak. It's the will to get up in the morning after the heart is broken into a million pieces. It's recovery from addiction and success despite poverty. It's the parent's drive to return to a dead end job to support his family and still managing a smile when returning home. "If it doesn't kill you, then it'll make you stronger", said my grandmother. I listened, I trained. I found the strength and I arose stronger after the heartbreak, I lift heavier weights than when I began. I allow criticism to fall off my back like water off a duck's back so I can live my truth. It's not enough as I still have fear... Fear of falling, fear of stepping out of my comfort zone, fear of rejection and isolation. I know it's there as he rears his head during yoga practice. It reminds me of being human and little by little, strength comes but so so slowly that I need more time than what is allowed to me in this life.

Adductor Myofascial Release.⠀ ⠀ Typically adductors are tight and weak so starting a practice focussed on splits with some Myofascial Release will help to open up and lengthen the adductors to prepare the body for where the practice is going.⠀ ⠀ To Setup:⠀ 🙏 Lie on the lateral side body⠀ .⠀ 🙏 Take a block and place on medium level positioning at the hips although experimenting with block heights is encouraged to feel what is best for your body. The lower the block height the less intensity.⠀ .⠀ 🙏 Place double myofascial release balls (less intensity) or a single MFR ball (increased intensity) on the block⠀ .⠀ 🙏 Bend one knee to a 90 degree angle and strategically place the inner seam of the leg over the myofascial release balls placed on the block, allow the shin to rest comfortably on the ground⠀ .⠀ 🙏Begin with the inner seam section closest to the hip to work down the inner seam in 3 sections. Stay in the posture in each section of the inner seam of leg for 5-10 breaths, allowing the leg to get heavy with time and to increase the intensity as the adductors release⠀ .⠀ 🙏 To increase intensity lie onto the chest and straighten the torso or for less intensity stay on the lateral side body which decreases the pressure placed on the myofascial release - block prop⠀ ⠀ After releasing lie onto the back and notice the effects of the myofascial release on the body. How do the adductors feel? Do they feel less tense and more open? Nadi Shodhana Breath.⠀ ⠀ Also referred to as Alternate Nostril Breathing. Nadi translates to 'a channel for the breath to flow', and Shodhana means 'cleansing/purifying'/ This breath technique is practiced by breathing through one nostril at a time and using the thumb and ring finger of the right hand to alternate blocking the nostrils and the index finger and middle finger rest in between the eyebrows.⠀ ⠀ This is a very calming breath technique and a great tool to assist with stress, sleep, meditation and it can also help with focus as well. Dann folgen einige Tage Pause, in denen man hofft, daß der Muskel sich erholt, und dann der nächste Versuch. Und wieder das gleiche. Das ist eine typische Beschreibung des Verhaltens eines Schienbeinkantensyndroms. Ursache ist eine relative Schwäche eines Teils der Wadenmuskulatur, in Frage kommen Soleus oder Tibialis posterior, auch Flexor digitorum longum und Flexor hallucis longus. Es handelt sich um eine Tendinitis (Sehnenentzündung) und/oder Periostitis (Knochenhautentzündung), möglicherweise mit leichtem Kompartmentsyndrom. Unter den Ursachen und prädisponierenden Faktoren finden wir viele Hinweise auf eine Fehl- oder Überbelastung relativ zum Trainingsstand. Wie sieht die Lösung aus? Nun, die stoßartigen Beanspruchungen, die bei Lauf- und vielen Mannschaftssportarten überwiegen, sind nicht besonders geeignet, das Problem zu lösen, eher dazu es hervorzubringen. Geraten ist hier eine nachhaltige Kräftigung mit höherer TUT (time under tension) der Muskeln, wie wir sie z.B. in den Balancehaltungen finden. Das Schmerzsyndrom immer wieder durch ein erneutes Training auszulösen ist wenig geeignet, die Entzündung abheilen zu lassen. Der Trainingserfolg dürfte unter diesen Bedingungen ohnehin sehr eingeschränkt sein. Retour sur un stage...particulier ahah : - Se plaindre 16535x par jour avec @ana_charlon et @marinemacmillan et lutter contre les invasions d'araignées mutantes le soir dans nos chambres ahah - Pratiquer entre 6 et 7h de yoga par jour (on ne va pas se mentir, raide comme je suis dès le 3ème jour j'étais littéralement cassée 😂) - Donner mon premier cours de relaxation (👉🏼 6ème slide) - Manger du végé et fait maison mais rêver de pizza et de bière dès le 2ème jour en gros tas que je suis 🐷 - Revenir avec quand même un paquet de bons souvenirs et des fous rires inoubliables 🙏🏼❤️
