FINDING THAT PLACE INSIDE When things feel hard and we have been pushing and pushing. Sometimes the only thing we can do is to let go and go within. Finding that still space inside of us even though we are in pain. We then appreciate that pain has a purpose and if we can stop resisting the pain and work with it, then we can leave our limitations behind and find our highest potential.

CREATING HEALTHY HABITS Many of us are setting goals for the new year - loose 5kg, eat healthier, get more sleep. Whatever the goal we feel that the right amount of willpower will see us through to the fulfillment of that goal. However this is hardly the case. It’s well-known that 98% of New Years resolution often fail within 6 weeks. Yep, that’s crazy. However it’s not that we didn’t have enough willpower to follow through instead it’s a failure of the systems (if any) that we put in place to succeed. Systems are the exact break down of the cues, desire, action and rewards that we set up in order to easily make these changes. And more importantly, keep doing over and over again until we win our goal. Obviously, we would need to break-down this system is order to apply it but at least you can see that goal setting without a system is a waste of time and that willpower is a limited resource at best.

Some may see my journey as a means to achieve a certain aesthetic. Sure, when I started my journey in college it was 💯 about how I looked and was perceived. Being attractive by society’s standards was a primary motivator for my choices when I first started my journey. Luckily, I’ve learned a lot and come a long way. What a wheel to nowhere that mindset was. 🤦♀️ I show up and get my workout in more days than not so I can feel like a million bucks on the inside. So I can be strong. So I can be healthy and hopefully get to watch my kids grow old. I want my clothes to fit comfortably rather than have to hide in them. I want to show my mind and body some respect by using them both regularly and fueling them properly. I abused the vessel I was given for the first 30 years of my life, but what I’ve learned is that it’s never too late to start making different choices. To develop different habits that align with how you deserve to be treated. 🥑🍎🥗🍠🧘🏻♀️🏋🏿♀️ I appreciate all the love regarding my progress, but best of all is inspiring others to start where they are. If I can do it, YOU can do it. Make the decision to start the process and find reasons why the journey matters.
