It's not just in our heads... the sun releases vitamin D in our bodies that really does make us more bubbly and energetic. So soak up that sunshine! COMPOUND VS ISOLATION EXERCISES (READ MORE 👉🏾) By @JoeActivated . VERY simple concept here. 80% of your gains will come from compound exercises. What are compound exercises? . Compound exercises are movements that train more than one muscle group at one time. For example, in a Dead Lift, your legs are the primary muscles being used. However, we forget that our forearms (gripping the bar), back (last part on pull) traps (balance), core and a bunch of other muscles are engaged. . You’re essentially getting a bigger bang for your buck in one work out. . What are isolation exercises? They train one muscle group. For example, hamstring curls (machine) train one muscle group. Which muscle? You guessed it, the hamstrings. Is it wrong to only do compound exercises or only do isolation exercises? Yes. Why? . If we only focus on only compound movements for example, and we’re a beginner at the gym, we may have some muscle groups that aren’t strong enough to support the entire movement. For example, if you’re wanting to a compound back exercise (pull-ups) and your grip strength isn’t to par, you’re going to have trouble completing the movement. That’s why it’s also good to have some isolation exercises in your regime to really target a single muscle or a lagging body part. You’re only as strong as your weakest muscle in any exercise. - #regrann

☀️😇 SELF FULFILLMENT 😇☀️ • The idea of self fulfillment is a lot simpler than most people might view it as. There is you, your happiness and what your happiness is connected to. Some people connect their happiness to money or their partner while others may connect it to their favorite sports team. We all have different things in our life that bring us joy and help us feel fulfilled 🙏🏼 • Despite this, most people will never achieve self fulfillment because their happiness and joy are derived from the wrong things. If your sense of happiness if derived from something insignificant, something negative or something that is harmful for you, then you will spend your entire life on this journey and never be truly satisfied. Is there a magic answer to solve this problem ? Unfortunately, no 😶 • You need to figure it out for yourself and the only way it will last is if it is something truly meaningful and positive. For me, I have realized that my true happiness comes from always trying to become a better version of myself. On days that I’m lazy and unproductive I really feel unsatisfied and empty. As a result, I’m always trying to figure out new things I can learn or new ways I can work on myself.
