Wednesday road run 8 miles easy pace 9:20-9:30 for #tokyomarathon#trainingplan nearly didn’t happen today as I couldn’t get out to run it during the day today and I was tired tonight and looking for any and every excuse not to go. But I forced myself out the door with my hubby @jbfrontrunner though we didn’t run together tonight. So pleased he made me go. It was such a beautiful calm evening to run, not cold, the air felt fresh and somehow I found the energy to run on exhausted post speed interval track Tuesday legs. Yaaaaay. Looking forward to the #hertshalf#halfmarathon on Sunday for #training not to race it. 🏃♀️😀👍

If you’re in a funk currently, try changing up your daily routine! Seriously, it’s helped me SO much. There’s something about changing up your scenery that just makes you feel so fresh and motivated. If you’ve been in the same pattern for a while, same gym, same workouts, same equipment, etc. etc. then maybe it’s time to cancel your membership & find a new gym. A little further away maybe?? ITS WORTH IT! Maybe you work out from home but your just getting bored, you should try out a gym! Find a way to make room for it in your budget by cutting out something that doesn’t benefit you! For me, being in the same exact environment every single day eventually makes me in such a slump & weird mood. I’m finally excited to go to the gym & im excited to workout and it feels so good. If you’re not feeling motivated lately, give this a try ♥️

However, on the infrequent days that I don’t make going to the gym a priority: I ask myself, “What can I do to keep myself healthy?” Usually it’s a workout at the playground that’s a two minute walk from my house. Perhaps the soccer field or track: Today, though, it is a home workout without any equipment. I’d much rather do some kind of exercise than none at all. I hope you’re having a wonderful week FitFam!
Meet our much loved yoga instructor Brenda! Brenda teaches Yoga M/W/F at 11am and Restorative Yoga M/F at 12pm. ❤️🧘♀️🧘♂️ Let’s learn a bit about Brenda’s background and philosophy as an instructor: I am passionate about what I share with the students. New or old students feel like they have been coming all along. My intention each class is to challenge them one little thing, one new pose or one new way of breathing or stretching something new as I explain the reason for this particular move and how it will benefit them. I always give them the options of modification with the intention of building their strength, balance & safety of each student one at a time but in a group environment. We learn and grow with each class. I am always updating my knowledge, weekly and find new things in the yoga community to bring to them. Safety in all poses is number one, Yoga is not about how far you can go it is about HOW you go. That is my motto. I make mistakes and we all laugh at them, they correct me and that makes them feel more comfortable and have fun in my class.
