As a social worker, I understood that being a perfect wife, perfect, family, perfect mother was impossible. But, being a wife, a member of my family and a mother I craved to be the perfectness that I thought they needed. I dont need to be perfect but I'm perfect to them. I struggle daily with trying to be good enough for my Paityn. Max currently has 3.5 teeth. Up until last week I thanked my lucky stars that he never bit me while feeding. And then everything changed. At first he outright refused the breast for some feeds, then he started latching but only sucked a few times before biting and pulling at the nipple. Oh my. THE. PAIN. I tried to tell him firmly, no! No biting! That hurts mama. But he just giggles at me. I've tried to put him back on but he just keeps biting. The first few times this happened we just skipped the feed. I assumed he wasn't hungry. But the past few days, it's been happening all the time. I have been so anxious leading up to every feed. I'm so afraid he will bite and I'm so stressed out that he's not getting any milk. So for now, I've been feeding him my frozen stash of expressed breast milk. I've been so upset about this whole situation :( I don't know if it's just a phase, since he is teething right now, or if this is the end of my breastfeeding journey. I can't decide if I should keep pumping to maintain my milk supply, in hopes that he will get back on eventually, or just take this as a sign to wean him off completely and let my milk supply dry up.

SLEEP TRAINING 💤 After a few rocky nights and starting 3 meals of solids I really wanted a guide for my own reference and an easy hand over to day care. I have been doing a lot of reading and I was given some amazing advice from some fellow Mums last night (thank you 😘). I have been incorporating some settling techniques from @saveoursleep and following the @little._.ones nap and feeding times (I can elaborate on why I did the two of you like), and what a difference 3 days has made! I can’t believe it! It was time to help my little cat napper and although he doesn’t sleep for 4 hours a day, his naps are certainly getting longer and life already seems much easier. For anyone thinking of sleep training, I can positively say that I am all for it. Almost asleep for 2 hours now which is phenom for us 👏🏻 1 week ago I would have told you that Nate would NEVER sleep that long in his own bed! Yep, I am now eating my words, and very happy to do so!!! Our next task is to get him into his cot and room.... But...
