A little self love Sunday • • The sport of body building is 80% mental and 20% physical. My body has changed so much in the past year. One point I was muscular with a little bit of fat, I guess average with some definition, then I was shredded and lean, then I got bloated on carbs and sugars, then I started to cut again and starting looking lean and then I start my bulk and added some more size (muscle and fat). So here I am sitting at 145lbs and not scared to tell any one my weight because I’m okay with it. I love myself and I love all the hard work I put into my body and that’s all that matters. So to anyone who wants to take on the sport of bodybuilding, love yourself, your whole self because your body will go through ups and downs which will lead you mind to go through ups and downs, so make sure you can grow your mindset into something positive. Even if you aren’t trying to aspire to be a body builder the moment you decide to make a change to better your life, your health, you will go through ups and downs. Sometimes the scale might not be where you want it to be but do not let that define your hard work. When you really want something you will work hard enough for it and it will come. Never give up on yourself and never give up on becoming a better you! I remember taking this picture the morning after my last show this season. I got up early because I just couldn’t sleep and I wanted to reflect. I got on the treadmill, put my headphones in and just reflected, reflected on my season and everything I accomplished. Never did I think I could become a natural pro in my second bodybuilding season but I did. I knew what I wanted to achieve and I gave everything I had in me to make it happen. There were times I doubted myself but I always readjusted my mind set every time I had a negative thought. I kept my mind on my vision and goal because I wanted to become a better version of myself from my first season. The feeling of knowing I get better each day, week, and month is so addicting to me. I love the hell out of training and this sport. #selfiesunday got in a late evening chest day. Back to strength training and finally off my cut. Lost 19 pounds, I started at 148 and finished today at 129lbs! Was a hard 3 weeks but very rewarding. April is not far away now! Cant wait!
Grabow Grind and out of my element 😳 Nah, it’s a good thing lol! New gym’s mean new equipment and that means a new type of soreness and I love a new soreness! Went to visit my girl @fit_flea_13 in Appleton, WI and hit up @xperience_fitness Saturday which was suppose to be hamstrings but the back equipment was 👌🏼so we switched it up! Gotta be flexible! Needless to say my back is sore AF today and I’m loving it!! Today I decided to do the traditional “push” group. I’ve been neglecting chest lately 🙁 so that cashed out pretty early. Shoulder’s, I do on a regular basis but hit them with different machines so the change in angles perhaps fatigued them a bit sooner. Finally Tricep’s, I love ❤️ them! Unfortunately I do not have a dip machine and I love to use it as a finisher and they had one!! 😍 I finished at 105# and after 3 sets they were trashed! If you want to add depth to your arms, hit your triceps. I love this sport bodybuilding is definitely an art but it can come with some problems. . Right now my veins are collapsed because of dehydration both my feet, right leg, torso, back, three fingers on my right hand, Lower back and pelvic area are numb. I basically did my show yesterday with the right side of my body being numb...when walking on stage in my heels i couldn't feel my right side...I'm dehydrated and have magnesium and potassium deficiency that can cause numbness after dropping about 10% of my bodyweight during peakweek. I'm having difficulty walking and driving so I'm taking two weeks of total rest for my body and 1 week of not tracking my diet . Before hitting it hard for the next show. This man right here. I could not be more thankful for being blessed with @underrated_muscle as my coach. I know I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. He has been there for me as my coach, mentor and friend. Its not often you find a coach who will keep it 100 with you, not give up on you and be consistent in the work they do with you as an athlete. But coach Dave does exactly that with his athletes. Thank you, Dave! 🧡 - I was awarded this weekend as a Team Underrated Muscle Rising Star 😭🌟 I had no idea this was coming and I am honored to have received it. Dave has helped me truly reach my fullest potential this year. Before being coached by Dave, I competed for years and did not quite get to the physique required to be competitive on a national level. After joining TeamUM, I received my first 1st place win at a regional show, top 10 at my first national show and top 5 at my second national show- all in one year! Looking back, into the years of competing prior to joining Team UM , I regret nothing and grateful for the foundation that was built along the way. But what I can say is, this year showed me how important it is to have the right support and guidance as an athlete, and how much more efficient it is as you will accomplish more in smaller amounts of time. I have many things to work on to reach upcoming goals, and I am ready for the challenge. 2018 has been a great year. But 2019, we ready for you.😉🙆🏾♀️🎉 - I’m just so GRATEFUL!
