Happy FryYay friends! #fryyay 🍟 I don’t know what I love more, these oven fries or the fact that I can make an entire balanced meal on one pan! THE Best Oven Fries -heat oven to 450 -slice golden potatoes into 1/2” wedges -drizzle with olive oil, toss to coat -season with salt, pepper, and oregano -Roast at 450 for 25 min. Avoid flipping to let fries get golden brown. THE Best Fry Sauce -6 oz container of plain Greek yogurt -2 Tbsp Ketchup or BBQ sauce -1 tsp hot sauce -1 tsp mustard (I use yellow) -combine all ingredients in a small bowl, stir to combine
Strawberry Shortcake Loaf🍓 I love strawberries this time of year... Although strawberries are available all year round, they are at their best April- June. Strawberries are a good source of vitiman C, antioxidants, and fiber. This loaf, an original recipe from Katie @bakeit.paleo, is grain free, dairy free, and refined sugar free. Happy Friday ya’ll! Is it just me, or does anyone else LOVE snacking on bell peppers, but hate cutting them up? 🙈 I find peppers to be super crunchy and satisfying, but takes soooooo much effort to cut them up 😂. TBH, I buy a lot of my veggies pre-cut because I am more likely to eat them, but know it’s not always the most cost-efficient option. What hacks do you have for healthy snacks with little to no prep time? Please share!

UNDERSTANDING TASTE #8: HOW FIBERS SATISFY - Dietary Fibers give foods their bulk and play an important role in satisfying hunger. Dietary fibers are not digested by your intestinal cells but either pass out of the body unchanged ( insoluble fiber like wood pulp or cellulose) or get digested by your gut bacteria (Microbiome) and feed the healthy bacteria in the gut (soluble Fiber like Pectin from apples). The soluble fiber in Fiber Supplement Powders when added to foods or a Shake swell in the stomach as do the fibers found in fruits, vegetables, peas, beans, nuts, and whole grains. The swelling of the stomach sends a fullness signal to the brain.
