This was first for me. I never really understood the excitement about Safari and what a fool I have been. During my recent trip to Sri Lanka we decided to do a safari ride @udawalawanational park. Sri Lanka is famous for elephant safari and has a lot of national parks that offer them. Since this was on our way to Unawatuna we decided to go with this place. Let me tell you my experience was nothing less than a Jumanji movie. As soon as we started our ride, we hit a thunderstorm. Our driver parked our jeep in the middle of the jungle and we were waiting for the storm to pass. While we were waiting, the only thoughts running through my mind were what if we are struck by lightening, it was my husband's birthday and I really didn't want irony to play it's joke on us. Seeing the lightening flashes and the ground submerging in water with heavy rains we told our driver to go back. But he was really calm and said it will go away in 20 minutes, that gave me some confidence and we waited there patiently and he was right soon the rain started fizzing out and we could see the water disappearing from the ground. Phew! a sigh of relief!! We started looking for wild elephants but due to rain we couldn't find any and finally this happened. We saw this mammoth of a creature roaming around and filling up on his daily dose of food which btw is 250kgs. As he passed our jeep for those few seconds I felt like I am in some animated 3D movie, it gave me goosebumps. It was so surreal. In that moment, I understood all the craze behind the safari rides, it teaches you what really co-existence means. We did end up seeing other creatures like crocodile, jackal, deer and many beautiful birds but this moment here made me feel so alive that I will cherish it for years to come. And I am so glad I could capture it and share it with all of you.

𝗧𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗶𝗿 𝗮 𝗹𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮?📝 . #sponsored Is this little block on Tib Street the cutest block in the city? It's certainly top of my list. Tib Street was once known as Pet Paradise owing to all of its pet shops in the 1900s, on Friday nights at the start of the century the pet shops and markets attracted up to 10,000 people to this immediate area. Lots of the public art around the street and wider area celebrate the legacy of the animals so be sure to look up and see the ceramic doves and parrots whilst you're here. Tib Street takes its name from the River Tib that flows beneath it, supposedly the Romans named it such as a diminutive of their own River Tiber. Tiny River Tib even has a poem about it chiseled into a wall near here. Look how photogenic Northern Flowers, the Freemount, and Just Between Friends look here? The car's not bad either :) Thanks to #rangeroverevoque for letting me show off my morning in the city. Stay tuned for my afternoon and evening spots soon...
Happy long weekend! I hope whatever you are doing you have fun. I have my friend coming up to stay so we will be exploring the delights of the Peak District, and the odd beer garden. #peakdistrictnationalpark
#sponsored I admit it, I'm completely obsessed with this building. One of many beauties I couldn't resist snapping during my day seeing the city with #rangeroverevoque. The ghost sign advertises a barbershop in what was once the jewelry and meat curing district around Smithfield markets. The window reflects the former market HQ which was also the night asylum entrance where people could sleep in the sheltered markets come night time during Victorian times. And on the corner of this fabulous building is Soap Street, not only the home of one of the best curry houses in the city but a strange street of ghost signs and detritus, part derelict and part preserved buildings, and it feels like stepping into a film noir if you catch it on a moody enough day. Inside here, Trof NQ, do a mean breakfast. @landrover_uk
Just hanging around in Alboraya... Discovered this beautiful multi-coloured marina just down the coast from the city of Valencia. I can't say I'd mind one of these candy-coloured holiday homes, how about you? #valencia#alboraya
Ever look at your list of things to do and just decide to do something else instead? Since getting back from the #songkranfestival weekend it's been go, go, go! I've been writing my blog a little bit here and a little bit there but there's so much to write about that it's a little overwhelming. Anyways, I'll stop procrastinating and get working now. Blog post coming soon, watch this space 😏 • What do you do when you're procrastinating? Lmk 👇 • • • #thailand#travel#blog
🎶🎵 Living on the edge 🎵🎶 Finally, sunny 🌞🌞🌞 days are here again! Just had to take the opportunity and went exploring the Karst Edge. It is also the season of wild asparagus which I absolutely adore and came home with a nice green bouquet. My fav recipe is quite simple: Istrian pasta with asparagus in white wine & cooking cream = heavenly ✨ lunch 🤩
Friyay and long weekend! Any better than that?!⠀ •⠀ I still need to wait a month for the sea, but not for a bit of relax! 💪🏻 Our nomad souls are leading us to Lyon!! 🇫🇷⠀ It will be my first time there and we’ve planned a kind of gastronomic-shopping city trip with friends! 🤗 ⠀ •⠀ What are your plans for the Easter holidays? ⠀ Doesn’t matter where and what, wish you a great time! ☀️
