🦵🏼💥 In the last post we talked about how plyometric exercises are show to improve muscular activation patterns, increase performance, improving the enegery cost of running, and reducing injury. I’ve included some great plyometric exercises below! . 🦵🏼💥Depth Jump . 1. Slowly step off the box with your lead foot, followed by the trailing foot (alternate each rep) 2. Land softly with slightly bent knees  Immediately jump up as high as possible 3. Jump as soon as you hit the ground! Minimizing the amount of time spent on the ground. . 💥🦵🏼 Side to side box shuffle . 1. Stand on one side of the box with your left foot resting on the middle of it. 2. Keep your back straight and jump up and over to the other side of the box, landing with your right foot on top of the box and your left foot on the floor.  3. Continue shuffling back and forth across the box. . 🦵🏼💥 Alternating Lunges . 1. Stand with your feet hip width apart, pick a point in front of you to stare at the maintain balance  2. Step forward with one leg, keeping your back straight, lowering your hips until both knees are bent at a 90-degree angle. 3. Your front knee should be above your ankle, and not going past your toe, and your back knee should not touch the floor 4. Push through your front heel to get back to the starting position 5. Alternate legs and repeat . 💥🦵🏼 Square Plyometric Jumps . 1. You can use one foot or two feet  2. Start in the left bottom square and jump clockwise into each square  for 5 rounds and counterclockwise for 5 rounds  3. If you’re using single leg hops then switch feet and repeat 💥💥The most important thing to remember for all of these exercises is to NEVER sacrifice form for speed! We want to make sure we are installing correct motor patterns! Speed will come with practice! 😊 . 💥 It may be beneficial to perform these drills 2x a week. Start with 3-6 sets of 3-8 reps depending on your ability. Rest 30-60 seconds between
