Some days are just a B@#$h. Poor quality pickets, that cost a fortune but cant even handle being put in the ground Drill bits getting stuck in posts and a 37 degree day on it way #farmfencing#crap#picketline#notfun
@kenbaldwin1 got a Man Saver Post Driver—yes, that’s really the brand name 😁—for Christmas! We’ve got a lot of dog fencing we want to install ASAP; as well as additional livestock fencing. Today we practiced with the new tool on some pasture tree enclosures; it runs off an air compressor which we powered with a portable generator out in the pasture. It’s going to save us so much time. And bonus: it’s made here in Oregon! #mansaverpostdriver#madeinoregon#farmfencing
Next time you see metal fences...spare a thought. I'll bet that, if you look closely in towns and villages throughout the UK, you'll notice the cut off stumps of what remained of these styles of fences and railings. When you're out shooting, you'll see more of them, like this, dividing fields and farmland. They're top quality, and in the modern age, far too expensive to put up. Well, during WW2 our government needed iron and steel, and aluminium to go towards shells, gun barrels, air craft ...the materials of war. So iron fences were cut off at ground level and taken. Next time you're in an old town, look at the top of low walls outside houses and shops....see the little metal pieces sticking out. Particularly on round topped brick walls. An essential part of the war effort, but when you see these standing ( or leaning) across the countryside... please remember this post :-) and maybe take a photo of the fence. We ignore things sometimes, until we see the history attached :-) @adshowe ...we see these a lot don't we bud? #roughshooting#farmland#agriculture#ukcountryside#countrylife#countrysports#wintershooting#wintersun#wintersunshine#farmfence#farmfencing
I'm not the smartest guy around but I'm pretty happy about making this fence unrolled for the tractor.....finally I can get to work getting these fences up. Hoping for a productive weekend....#thefarmlife #farmfencing#keepingtheanimalshappy#bisonfarming
My husband worked so hard to get our fence done over the summer. It turned out beautiful! 😍We plan on adding some solar cap lights and painting it white at some point. One day at a time I guess. 😉Now if it would get cooler to turn that ridge calico. #tennessee#farmfencing#homesofinstagram
Let’s talk #poisonivy & not the sexy villain. Trimming trees & installing fencing hubby & I both got it. On my ankle & arms for the most but a few spots of cross contamination. Yesterday my very kind dr gave me a steroid cream for it. It’s a bit better today but still quite itchy.
Fencing! Internal fencing is happening right now! We have already wallaby proofed the whole boundary of Barn Hill and one paddock for the 'woollen girls' but have been using the neighbor's for a second grazing area. After today we will have THREE paddocks! ....and then we need to Sally proof them.... #farmfencing#woollengirls
