📷🇱🇰A group tour we had from Singapore with @travelledpaths Simon Chan. After a #treking in #adamspeak . Adam’s peak is also called Sri Pada in Sinhalese. ( Sri lankan language) . Beautiful place with a wonderful sunrise. It is better to go on week days when it is the season. If it is not the season probably you won't see the sunrise 🌞and its cloudy. Start the trek at 2am in midnight and can reach by 5:30 Am depends on the fitness level🙈,you can see wonderful sunrise but avoid going on weekends, public holidays and auspicious days because it will be bit crowded.
Ancient ruins of #polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa is also known as the #ancientcity. Kings ruled the central plains of Sri Lanka from Polonnaruwa 800 years ago, when it was a thriving commercial and religious centre. #ancienthistory
“I just go to mosque and sit here” I found this old man sitting along a busy street in Pettah, December 2015. Exactly 3 years later, I find him sitting in the same spot, dressed in the same attire. Only difference being a whiter beard
When I am #travelingsolo I get to meet lots of amazing local people. One started his own hipster cafe. This he did by following similar cafes in Bali on IG and through trial and error came up with his own recipes. Banana Chill's avocado toast (so good I forgot to take pic) and mango oat bowl are a must try. I also met a hardworking part time student who is gym buff and volunteered to take me around the city on his bike. Who says no to that. #kandy#exploringsrilanka#kindstrangers#bananachill#travelingsolo
