Episode 1 - Now live on YouTube (Link in bio) In this 1st episode of the #powerstop#trailtosema 2018, the entire trail crew meets up in Grand Junction, CO and departs to tackle the “21 Road” - the first of 7-trails in 7-days before attending the #semashow in Las Vegas. Special thanks to everyone that was involved (cast and crew) who quickly became like family. Hats off to the production team that took an idea and a vision and made it come to life. And of course to all the sponsors for supporting the show and making it all possible. Cheers!
Next Baja-prep truck project in the works. Center console lockbox for passports, cash and other valuables that we'd like to remain secure and easily accessible. Got a lock cylinder keyed the same as my camper shell from etrailer to keep things simple. And it will still look all stock until you open the lower console box up and see a steel lid. 16ga walls, 14ga for the lid with extra reinforcement around the lock and hinge to keep it from being forced open with a prybar. Might go at a round two session tonight or get another day to work on it Friday or Sunday and build out the top, hinge, lid and lock. If anyone wants one for their first gen I can make another - DM for pricing and lead time info. . . . . #tacoma#firstgen#tacomaworld#baja#custom#fabrication#fitup#likeaglove#expeditionvehicle#expo#bigtruck#trucklife#vanlife#builtnotbought#diy#make#maker#myoffice
Composting Toilet Tips and Tricks For those of you who have or are thinking about getting a composting Toilet. Use the peat moss it works so much better than the Coco fiber. Squirt soapy water in the bowl after every use. Always park the agitator in the vertical position so it's easier to turn after settling. Grind the allen bolt flat on the bottom so it stays on the agitator axle better. Mix in all the material when you dump the toilet or the stuff that sticks in the bottom can retain moisture. Use a separate "yellow" tank if possible. Daily dumping of the standard pee tank is the worst part of owning one of these. I'm trying the hose clamp helpers on the agitator to see if it is more efficient. See the whole write up here if you want more info. https://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/composting-toilet-tips-and-tricks.200846/
