Cheat meals are not needed often and not everyone NEEDS them! True cheat meals have a time and a place in training and contest prep. Everyone thinks they need cheat meals to shake up their metabolism but there’s more to it. Yes, you feel better and happier after indulging in your favorite burger or pizza but why? Your metabolism is controlled by various hormones, one being Leptin which tells your body you're full and tells your brain to increase calorie burn and get moving! If you are on a calorie restricted diet for an extended period of time or drop your calories too quickly you risk a drop in leptin which may lead to a drop in thyroid hormones T3 and T4 which help regulate your metabolism and can lead to you feeling sluggish and weak effecting your training and recovery. Hence after an extended period of dieting and intense training a higher calorie meal with a good balance of carbs, fats, and proteins can help increase your leptin levels, then increasing your metabolism, fully refueling muscle glycogen stores, allowing you to start fresh in training. But it is just a cheat MEAL and still needs to be specific to what your body needs to be at its best!let’s work💪🏻 #gym#gymshark#gymmotivation#gymlife#gymtime#bodypositivity#bodybuilding#bodygoals#bodytransformation#storytelling#fitness#instagood#fitnessfreaks#fitnesslife#fitnesstransformation#fitnesstrainer#fitnessaddict#fitnessmodel#fitnessboy#tbt#fitnessmodels#fitnessgoal#healthyliving #healthylifestyle#evl#photooftheday#cheatmeal #lifestyleblogger
