Pear shaped diamond engagement rings are trending among our brides! This gorgeous shape faces up extremely large and the facet pattern is exceptionally good at hiding inclusions! This means more of your budget can go to things you CAN see in your engagement ring, like size, cut and color! What's your ideal budget for an engagement ring? Don't know how to answer that question? We'll give you a tip! It’s long been the popular thought that you want to spend two months salary on an engagement ring. This is false. What if you make a ton of money and you don't want to spend that much? What if you don’t make any money at all and you can’t spend that much? What do you do? I want you to picture a number in your head that’s too much for an engagement ring in your opinion. Got it? OK, now take off 10% of that number. Still too much? Take off another 10%. Keep doing that until you finally get to a number that you’re comfortable with. You have your number. Know a friend about to propose? Tag them or send this info to them!

---------------------------------------- Katharina & Jan @catherinaah & @janvelek #belovedstories#coupleshooting#authenticlove#justalittleinspo

Adventure engagement sessions are so fun! I love incorporating my clients’ passion for their engagement photos. They’re a blast to shoot, my clients have so much fun, and the photos have so much more meaning. If your engaged, let’s go on an adventure and allow me capture your passion.
He loves me, he loves me not... 🥀 Okay, okay, obviously I KNOW he loves me, but there’s a difference between knowing and feeling. .. B and I have really struggled with love languages. We each score 0 for each other’s love languages (physical touch for him, gifts for me) and it can feel like a lot of effort to speak each other’s. .. We made the effort without really thinking early on, it felt natural to do what made the other person happy. As life got busier + more stressful, it felt like *too* much effort. .. The problem is, by not speaking each other’s love language, you’re basically not telling the person you love them in the way that makes sense to them. They may *know* but not *feel* it. .. We struggled with this A LOT and it took several years of work + patience. There was A LOT of resistance towards the idea “but shouldn’t you just know i love you?” .. Here’s what worked for us. None of these things worked on their own, but each helped us get a little closer (even when we couldn’t see the progress): • take the quiz (duh lol but it did take me awhile to convince Bassam) • read the book • lots and lots of very honest and open conversations about how we feel when our language isn’t being spoken + exactly how to speak it • a week challenge where we challenged each other to speak it every day (check out our relationship challenge, link in bio, if this sounds interesting to you) • me just speaking his love language without expecting anything back. Him really feeling what it feels like to have your love language be spoken made the biggest difference .. Here’s a really important note. You don’t both have to be doing these things to see progress. I know it can sometimes be really hard to get both partners on board, but even if just one person starts doing it, it helps move the relationship forward. Try not to feel “martyrdom” about this. You’re doing it for your relationship, which means you’re doing it for you. .. In
Hey!! This is what I look like in case you were wondering! I wanted to say hey to new people looking at this lil page, and what’s good to my friends already on here!! 🕺🏼 My photography journey began a little over a year ago when I got out my mom’s old camera from 2006 and started. Boy did I know how terrible I’d be. My first few times trying to use my camera with my friend, she just kept telling me to use my phone because she wanted pics and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. 🕺🏼 One year later, I now know how to shoot with manual settings and I’m looking to upgrade to a new camera😌 (once I get money to do so). I don’t know what capacity photography will hold in my future but for now, I have short-term goals. Like making money during the summer. 🕺🏼 Although I like happy and warm and peaceful, I’ve always kinda loved moody stuff, like thunderstorms and melancholy weather; dark colors and emotionally complicated art. I love dark architecture and if you are looking for one project I’m OBSESSED with right now check out the VIPP shelter by VIPP (don’t @ me Maggie) 🕺🏼 P.s. if you want to see the house I’m designing in studio right now lmk and I’ll do an insta story explaining it! 🕺🏼 Thanks to @thebibleproject I’m also quickly becoming a bible nerd. My friends know that I’ve watched LITERALLY every single video they’ve ever made and listened to every podcast they’ve put out, so I can go on deeeeeep rabbit trails if you get me going. 🕺🏼 I’ve also been watching a lot of YouTube videos from @kurz_gesagt lately about space stuff. Vvvv worth the watch. 🕺🏼 I’ve also been in the process of reading an incredibly interesting book called The Unseen Realm. It’s about the spiritual worldview the biblical authors had and lemme tell you, you’ll read stuff in there that will keep you pondering for a very long time. 🕺🏼🕺🏼 I always intend for these things to be short, and they end up really
This is Gabe Stanley riding his Yamaha Stryker in Tecumseh, Kansas last weekend. I’ve known Gabe since the 4th grade when we started playing the cello and almost always were stand partners all the way through high school. These are from his engagement shoot with his fiancé, Bailey. (Thanks for letting me capture these moments and show off your sweet bike!)
