Hugs teach us how to give and receive. There is equal value in receiving and being receptive to warmth, as to giving and sharing. Hugs educate us how love flows both ways. - #thehugmovement#healthtips#hugs#lesbianlove
You know, when you say that - you understand that I have got problems... I don't want the sympathy, I don't want you to feel pity for me - I am not the only one. There are people like me and I don't want your commiseration for not having it easy. I am not expecting you to fight that for me. Maybe I am expecting a shoulder to lean on till I find it in me to hold my head high. Or maybe not. I am capable enough to do this on my own. Yes, I want you to hear me out but not with your presumptuous compassion. And if you can't, that's fine too but don't shower that sympathy at all - don't say you understand when you don't. I'll stand up, educate people on this but I won't accept an ignorant sympathy for my cause. _______________________________ I wrote this to a friend last night and I realise this is what many need to understand as well. If you have someone around you who's taken difficult decisions, please understand that they have it in them to take the full responsibility of their actions. If they're going through rough phases, please do not reach out to them out of your pity. They don't need it. They are brave people - they're people who have picked on unusual battles - not necessarily extraordinary ones. Yes, your presence means a lot to them but only if you're there for the right reasons. Be there in solidarity, not out of moral responsibility!
Humility allows you to recognise this 😍 • The best way to grow a business is to get help from people who are better than you in every area 👊🏼 • Ego will keep you trapped, no one knows everything 🤔 • The best entrepreneurs in the world employ the best people and listen to the best advice 👍🏼 • Then they work their butts off 😉 • Love Your Journey • @hagleywestwatches #loveyourjourney#hwjourney
If you isolate a growing plant and confine it into a box with only one hole on the side, that can let sunlight in the plant will put every possible energy to grow closer to the hole. The unusual shape of this plant will make it different from other plant as the conditions will affect its growth visibly. People are like this plant they are prisoners of their unique conditions and they grow only in ways that support their survival of their lives. . . . #thoughts#travel#suddenclick#sunrise#empathy.
M.I.F: " It is the great people that make the guy at the top look like a genius. Not the other way round" ~ @simonsinek . - Having a great sense feel and responsibility towards people stem from the fact that they've equally given us their time and energy to support us. . - Recognising that is key to unlocking our genius, adding value to our audience and the commitment to eat last. #lamidobrogues

Pure gold @oracleofyoursoul Competition vs collaboration. A must read🤩🤩 ✅✅✅✅✅✅ One of the most important elements of a secure-functioning relationship is about each partner’s ability to collaborate and co-create together. This requires a commitment to a “we” and not an “I”. This requires both partners being committed to a purpose greater than themselves, as while a relationship provides each person with personal benefits, the union actually serves as a greater contribution. Collaboration requires commitment to something greater than yourself. It requires an unwavering commitment to LOVE. It requires a healthy ego, one that is solid enough to have a strong sense of self and be able to assertively set boundaries and account for their needs, but not so strong that it makes competition more important than collaboration. It requires so much fucking humility to be able to take feedback and be receptive to the experience of another human being and work with their experience to achieve unity and collaboration to move forward as a connected unit. They’re those who can happily celebrate the wins and successes of others without turning it into a competition or ample opportunity to attack, criticize or minimize the success of that person. Collaboration is someone’s embodiment of love. Cause without collaboration, we live in isolation, we live in a space of disconnection. This is why so many people live unhappily, they live in perpetual states of perceived competition, rather than collaboration. So when they see people winning around them, they reject the possibility of love by celebrating this person and celebrating the Universe as being a place filled full of abundance, they cower away into battles of superiority and inferiority. When we do this, we see the world full of winning and losing, which is by way of a toxic relationship with our own ego. We never win this way. The way we win in life and love is making collaboration more
Most days I am able to be compassionate towards others quite easily. The thing I work on is the compassion towards myself. (isn't that the tricky one?!)This is a daily practice, and I truly feel lucky I have the privilege to work on myself. I am honoured I get to facilitate a space for people to also explore compassion in many ways. Want to delve into yourself more? We going back in time for this one. #tbt to over a year ago when I created this video for my advertising class in SJSU. 5 or 6 YouTube ads came from this short ad. Had to make bumper ads from a larger piece of content to advertise #peaceoneday if you guys don’t know, @peaceoneday_official is a non profit organization trying to create and establish a global day for peace, September 21. Point of this project was to raise awareness to peace day and get people involved. You can spread peace in many ways, I chose to focus on spreading peace through art. Def one of my favorite projects. Not just because producing it was fun, but because of the cause. Music is “imagine” by John Lennon. Just stating it because Instagram kept taking this video down every time I tried posting it. And I thought that might be the reason. • • • • • #video#short#peace#spreadpeace#love#unity#paz#empathy#art#painting#drawing#stopmotion#peaceday#spreadlove#globalpeace
GOOD FRIDAY: In the early hours of the morning, Jesus is betrayed into the hands of the local authorities. . "Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?" . After a series of one-sided trials, He is sentenced to death by crucifixion. . "Art thou the King of the Jews?" . "My kingdom is not of this world..." . "Art thou a king then?" . "To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world..." . Jesus is then whipped, mocked, tormented, crowned with thorns, and sentenced to death by crucifixion. . "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." . He dies on the cross that afternoon, with His disciples and accusers present as witnesses. . "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit--it is finished, thy will is done." . Then "came a rich man of Arimathæa, named Joseph, who...begged the body of Jesus...and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock." (Matthew 27) . Because Jesus Christ experienced such profound suffering, He has perfect empathy for us when we are in pain, be it physical or spiritual. Because He overcame death to live again, He has the power to help us rise above the any challenge in our lives, no matter how dark and difficult things may seem. . A REFLECTION ON HUMANITY I made this photo during my trip to Zimbabwe last year. This 2-year-old boy lives with his homeless mother in that temporary shelter. The photo became my personal symbol of all that's wrong in our societies. ARE HUMAN RIGHTS ONLY VALID FOR THE RICH? In 1948 The UN General Assembly declared a catalogue of Human Rights, inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. 70 years later, we need to admit that millions of people, mainly in developing countries are being left out. WHAT WILL HIS FUTURE BRING? This boy has no home, no access to clean water, adequate food, basic medical aid, and education. Growing up on the street, being illiterate, what will his chances for the future be? MONEY IS AVAILABLE BUT...? We just witnessed that within 3 days, EUR 1 Billion could be raised to rebuild Notre Dame in Paris which made me ponder. Millions of people in this world live on less than $ 1,50 a day. How many lives could be saved with EUR 1 Billion? If such sums are available, why are we not helping? What are your thoughts?
