Talk about a love/hate relationship ..... no, wait, hate is too strong. It's more a matter of her regularly driving me absolutely bat-shit crazy by chewing on my ear (in a loving way but more painful than a loving ear-nibble should be), or grabbing my glasses off my face, or flying over to the cage where my conures live and tormenting them through the bars ...... but when she's like this, all calm and gentle making cute half-asleep noises to herself as she sits on one leg dozing on my shoulder, I am completely besotted.
There are so many benefits to harness training your parrot! Not only does it open up a world of enrichment opportunities by allowing you to take them on outings, it also provides health benefits through exposure to direct sun light and to top it off it allows you to safely practise critical behaviours such as recall in a real life environment! If you ever experience a fly off you will have a significantly better chance of retrieving your parrot if you've acclimatised your parrot to the outdoors and worked on a reliable recall. Here is Koda, Lee's Eclectus parrot, exploring their new yard for the first time and practising her recall. _________________________ #parrotbehaviour#parrotlife #parrotlifebehaviourandtraining #harnesstraining#parrotharness#aviatorharness#parrotenrichment#eclectus#eclectusparrot#iaabc#petsbehavingwellvideo
