in his teen days.....during the 1980’s, Jersey Devil, just annihilating this Gas Chambers wave in Atlantic City, NJ @deanrandazzosurf ....Dean, a well respected pro surfer, is now a father of two boys, a cancer survivor and arguably the best surfer to come out of New Jersey
Ghost Rider. Sometimes I don’t know what to caption a photo; I’m not sure if this one fits this shot but it’s the first that came to mind. As I thought about it though, I thought about a recurring notion I’ve had for some time regarding my aqueous passions. Surfing is such a huge, driving force in my life and has been so since my childhood. I have often joked that if I can’t surf after I leave this terrestrial realm, then I’m not leaving! I don’t know if I believe in the Biblical conception of Heaven but I’d like to believe that Heaven for each of us, is what we want it to be. And if that’s true, I want to keep on surfing after I die; ghosting along waves, continuing to flow with that energy force...Ghost Rider...
Blast From the Past. This is a shot from 5 years ago. I was injured and out of the water when this swell hit. I took a ton of shots this day, and this is one of Nico Evans, blasting one of his airs, that I shot that day. Sometimes being sidelined is serendipitous. Body English. I don’t know who this girl is; she wasn’t “ripping” in the context of what is currently considered “ripping.” But she had a style all her own. And somehow it complimented the wave in her own special dance. And that’s really what it’s all about, isn’t it? More pics in my Sneak Swell album on my Waterwoman Photography Facebook page.
