It is very common to hear that overwheight are adviced ONLY TO DO CARDIO, and after losing weight they could train with weights and machines. This is a big mistake and shows lack preparation and learning and that's why they say such things. Ok, now let's talk about what interests us. If you are overweight and start to diet and cardio alone you are likely to lose weight, but how do you think you will look? You will see no form, watery and with the skin of jelly and from that stage, to begin training to correct that is much more difficult. Anyone who is overweight or obese CAN AND SHOULD lift weights, because by working this way your muscles will take firmness and strength (tone). By working with weights you incentive the formation of muscle fibers and for you to know, this increases the metabolism which makes you lose weight faster and at the end of the process you will end up with a firm and hard body. The muscle is made up of cells that consume energy and therefore your basal metabolism will be much higher. When you get a coach that tells you something like that, run away and find another one. That one does not know anything or does not want to help you out! How to increase your muscle mass? Many spend up to 3 hours in the gym, which is a bad idea, because they think that the longer they are in the gym the more muscles they will have. This is about Quality Vs, Quantity. In one hour I train very hard and many times even in less time. - Let's talk in this case of gaining muscle and not losing fat. In this case you have to eat more (caloric surplus) always choosing the healthier and leaner options to build a good physique. The excesses obviously become fat so you must take care of what you eat. Eat carbohydrates that are slowly absorbed such as rice, legumes and vegetables. - LITTLE WEIGHT AND MANY REPS OR MUCH WEIGHT AND LITTLE REPS???? The answer is: BOTH. Workouts must be varied to create good muscle quality. If you always train the same, your body will adapt and not change. Very heavy weight and 3 repetitions increases your strength but not the size of your muscles. Intensive and varied training will allow you to achieve good muscle maturity and therefore beautiful muscles, separate and well formed. - In the gym you won’t grow muscles, that’s right, in the gym you’ll destroy the muscles, break the fibers that then regenerate with food and rest. MUSCLES GROW DURING THE REST. - Stress causes cortisol to block our body's growth hormone and even tetosterone. It also nullifies our immune system so we are prone to diseases. •D.E.A.D.S• . // morning team! super excited final few days before I’m home 🏠🎄so I’ve planned my workouts accordingly ... today being my fav deads ... toot toot! . // a few clients have been asking me what to do over the festive 🎅🏼 period re fitness ... the tips I’ve been giving them: . 1️⃣ your priority should be spending time with your fam and friends 👫 so enjoy that the most BUT if you can rope them into going for walks with you then bonus 🙌 . 2️⃣ if you know your going to be busy, make the focus of your training mobility work (stretching, yoga, Pilates) and more LISS style training, walking, swimming etc . 3️⃣ TRY and limit your blowouts, if you have a massive family dinner planned, go lighter on lunch (sounds annoyingly obs but it does work) 💁🏼♀️ . // at the end of the day though don’t stress, try your best but whatever happens happens c’est la vie (some things are worth getting fat for 😊) .... you can refocus your efforts in Jan with everyone else 😆 . . ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ . happier•healthier•WELLthier .
