Headed to JB on a Friday afternoon for lunch, we decided to try the legendary Ya Wang duck shop again, as it has be eons since we last had it, say around 2 years. We were a group of 5 on a family weekend trip, so it was perfect chance to order as much as we can. We opted for the Dang Gui duck, while having charsiew and roasted pork as sides. We also ordered a bowl of dumping soup and a plate of kang kong fried with spicy shrimp chili. The roasted duck was succulent and my favorite pieces are those large chunks of meat with skin. I love how the thin crisp of duck skin melts in my month on every bite, which was perfect when bite with chunky meat sizes. The Dang Gui sauce was not too overwhelming, and felt very homely. Despite the roasted duck as the signature dish, I personally felt the charsiew was way better, a score of 100/100! The meat was not too overly roasted or "chao ta" but had an equally good roasted smell to it and was coated with thick dark honey sauce which is just wowzzz! The roasted pork was really just normal, nothing out of the ordinary. We like how the dumping soup was served with large chunks of meat and seafood in each dumpling. Really a very satisfying meal👍🏻 If you had not been visiting Ya Wang for some time, do drop by! Definitely a highly recommended food stop to visit when in JB! 💁♀️Rate: 4.5/5 Follow us for more food updates!

Duck waffle 8.1/10 The combination was interesting cause it was sweet and savoury! The duck meat was well made (soft and tender) the waffles were also crispy and nicely made. The sauce was interesting cause its soy sauce but tasted a lil sour as well? Overall enjoyable dishh! . . . . . . #sydneyeats#sydneyfoodie#brunch#duckmeat#waffle#food#sydneybrunch
