Homemade Food: Chhole Bhature. How do we introduce this delicacy? A plate of pure awesomeness, served hot! ‘Chhole Bhature' is an almost inseparable combination that is an absolute mood maker and tastes fabulous. It is purely one of the most sought after meals in India that can be relished at all times! Chhole, aka channa or chickpeas are protein rich and are cooked in a delicious gravy made with garlic, chillies, onion, tomatoes and dry spices & the special 'Chhole Masala.' It is then brought to the desired consistency before being simmered to perfection. Bhatura, that is a fluffy, deep fried leavened bread, is an ideal accompaniment to the Chickpea Curry, and has its roots from North India. Its dough here is mainly made with refined flour, semolina, curd & warm water; and the secret to its perfection completely relies on how well the dough is kneaded & rested. It is then rolled, flattened & deep fried before being served hot. Fried papad, green chillies, ringed onion, a dash of lemon and a sour pickle totally complement this dish & make the experience all the more flavourful! P.S The green chilly hashtag is totally un(intentional).
