I listened to some research the other day that said we have around 80000 thoughts a day! Which if it's true is crazy to think. (There's one of those thoughts for today) But what was even more interesting was that apparently there's research to suggest some top athletes and successful entrepreneurs have only around 20,000 thoughts each day! Meditation can help us calm the mind. It's not to try to stop our thoughts, but it can over time help us to use our mind to our advantage, to find clarity of what we need to focus on, rather than letting it control us. My youngest. Today our conversation went something like this. Him: Mom, I hate P.E. ME: Why? Him: Because our teacher makes us meditate. ME: Well meditation can be very healthy for your mind. Voice In My Head: Boo I get you. Meditation isn’t my jam either. 🤫😉😂 P.S. did you know I used to teach P.E.? You are worthy of all good things! ✧ Practise self love daily. Try a using mantra, or start a gratitude journal. ✧ What stories have you been told about your worth? It’s time to go within and heal these old wounds. ✧ Low self worth occurs in the lower chakras. (More on this later) ✧ You are safe! The universe has your best interest at heart. (Lack of security requires healing the root chakra specifically.) ✧

The perfect card pull for me this morning. ⭐️ if you don’t have this deck (rise sister rise) you need to get it because it’s always spot on. . I’ve been thinking a lot about boundaries the last week which is interesting as I’ve never ever addressed them before. I went to do my next level of Reiki training and attunements and over the hours following this I had so much clarity on something I’ve been pondering for a while 🌈⠀ .⠀ I figured out I basically do NOT set boundaries in almost ANY relationship and this leads me to eventually feeling resentful when I don’t receive the same level of compassion and care back from people. .⠀ Do you ever feel that?⠀ .⠀ I guess what I’m asking you to do today is what I had to do and look really deep.... are YOU allowing the energy exchange to be imbalanced from the start? When your gut says you don’t want to do something, do you still say yes because you feel guilty? Do you often feel... disappointed in people and not really heard? 🤔 .⠀ Well.... you know what the hard thing to address is? But the bit that will help you change? YOU allowed this behaviour to develop. They don’t HAVE to treat you the way you treat them, and YOU don’t have any boundaries either (soz but it’s true). Is it the other persons fault? No. They have just responded to what you’ve given; everything and far too much of it. .⠀ If you think this could be you - google signs of codependency because HOLY MOLY I didn’t think that was me, and it is. . So what have I been doing about this so far? Firstly, I’ve been looking at WHY I overextend in friendships and where that started. Then I have been practicing listening to my gut and trying to say no. . Why the effort? Because if you don’t change this cycle it will go on forever and you will find it really hard to find authentic and balanced bonds ⚖️ . Start saying NO ❌If you don’t want to do something DON’T DO IT. And tell yourself; . - I am able to set

It definitely hasn't always been that way, the city can be a lonely place that lacks connection in many ways, and there's been hard times here for sure when I felt like leaving, but if you open up your heart and look for that connection with other similar souls you sure can find it! So last night I did a short video sharing some facts about nutrition (check out my IGTV). During one segment in particular, I mentioned how fast food and MacDonalds coupled with stress, pollution etc effect our bodies. Hilariously, a girl had to listen to me say this piece about 10 times as she was angrily rustling her MacDonald bag behind me. 😂 To be real with you guys, before I became 🌱 I ate at MacDonalds way too much along with take aways, pizzas .... the list goes on. It's too convenient for our busy lives. I'm not judging. I'm staying facts. Don't hate. Learn, educate and empower 💪🏻 . . . . .
| Happy Mindful Monday! |. . • Welcome to week 3•. . If you’re saying “I don’t have time to meditate” , “I can’t sit still”... you probably could benefit from meditation. It doesn’t have to take a lot of time out of your day, it doesn’t always involve chanting or sitting in lotus position. These are myths that may turn people off. Perhaps you’ve tried it & found it too difficult or boring. There are guided options if you feel like you can’t do it on your own and there are many types of meditations to explore that suit you. If you’re new to meditation, remember don’t overthink it...just simply be aware of your breath. Let us know how we can help you get started on your meditation practice! 🙏

Today we climbed to see this amazing place at the top of the Tiger Cave and what an incredible view. It was honestly too much to take it. I could have spent hours in the calm presence of the people at the top breathing in the experience as well. There were people that went up just to meditate and it reminded me of how much I miss my meditation practice. Before the holidays I had reached over 100 days of consecutive meditation and I looked forward to that time each day. I'm ready to get back to the powerful practice and the peace it brings to me. Today was a challenge, especially with getting the boys to the top with us, but it was worth the sweat and tears to be reminded of what simply being still can do for you. So this will probably be my favorite #mindsetresetmonday ever and the most important reminder to get back to where I need to be.
