I haven’t been to the gym in over three weeks due to a flare with #menieresdisease. . This is the motivation I needed to get back to my fitness goals. . My new goal is to make it back there next week!!! #livingwithmenieres#dizzygirl#vertigoawareness#fightlikeagirl#goals #nevergiveup. . Thanks Coach Joey for the motivation and support!!
I have had dizziness for the past 3 days and it blows. I was going to put my refresh on hold but I was too excited. I'm the type who will reward/punish myself with food...and not in a good or healthy way My good habits have slipped so I thought I'd try something new Rewarding myself with delicious fruits and veggies and shakes and not punishing myself for getting off track Day 1 was hard but I feel less dizzy and more refreshed today
28th May 2019: So happy that today I managed an escalator down to the tube! #ifyouknowyouknow . . . On my way back to Harley Street for my second opinion from a neurologist. 🤞🏻 they have some alternative solutions other than brain surgery!
23rd May 2019: And here it is... the news I didn’t want. Very significant Chairi Malformation Type 1 with 17mm of tonsillar and Obex descent. Long words that mean my brain is falling out my head 😢 . . . I was hoping that the CT was wrong and there was some other reason for my symptoms but once you’ve seen the scans it all becomes so real. My surgeon suggests a second opinion from a neurologist to see if there are any non-surgical solutions to my problem.
17th May 2019: MRI day 🏥 . . . The eye bags are getting bigger! Today is a full brain and spine MRI to have a better look at the CT scan findings. 1hr45 staying totally still... how will I cope?! #wigglebutt
My life right now! 😫 . . . 13th May 2019: After a call from my amazing GP (all the ♥️ to Blackfriars Medical Practice BTW) the discharge from St Thomas’ was incorrect. My CT scan has shown crowding at the Foramen Magnum (join between your head and your back) and low-lying cerebellar tonsils (back of the brain). Being referred to a Neurosurgeon! Sounds scary!!!
18th April 2019: Good news today 💗 time to celebrate with some 🥂 . . . Neurologist at St Thomas’ Hospital has diagnosed I have “Primary Stabbing Headache” which is easily treated with Aspirin. I have been referred to the Headache Clinic but no need to worry about anything else 😍
17th April 2019: So happy to back at home, in my pjs with an episode of @c4gogglebox to keep me entertained ♥️ #homesweethome . . . No news yet from the Neurologist at St Thomas’. Been discharged with a mega dose of aspirin and some anti-sickness pills. 🤞🏻 for good news tomorrow
16th April 2019: Thank you to all the nurses at St Thomas’ Hospital for the care and support ♥️ And the tea... so much tea!!! #nhs . . . Had 3 CT scans today but no news on the results yet. Feeling sorry for myself and want to go home now!
