Change 💜 . In life we know change is coming, we just never know in what form, until it shows up. 💕 . It’s impossible to predict, however sometimes change can come out of nowhere and send us in a completely new direction. 💕 . This time last week, Sunday evening, I was never expecting the changes that were going to happen starting the very next day. 💕 . This led to a week of challenging decision making, explorations of personal thoughts and fighting fears . 💕 . The outcome .... believing that change can be a sign to grab hold of something new, an opportunity to go in a different direction and focus on positive outcomes. ⭐️ . If your goal is to eventually work up  to push-ups from your feet on the floor, we recommend elevating your hands, instead of practicing from your knees. • Start at a height that is challenging, but doable. Once that height is mastered, step down a few inches to a lower height, and repeat until you reach the floor! • At the gym you can use a rack, a bench, or a plyo box. The past few days I’ve been talking to people who have known me for quite some time and the topic of confidence has been brought up many times. They said “you always seemed so confident and sure of yourself. You were/are so strong that I never knew that anything was going on” My response was neither did I.  I wore my confidence like a wall hanging painted like a brick wall. Everyone including myself thought that I was strong like this brick wall because I felt like I had to be. But the truth is, you could’ve ripped, cut, or torn down that canvas and I would’ve been completely ruined. I put it up because it was easier to fake it than to deal with my unhappiness.  Once I started taking care of myself and pushing myself to new limits, I started really laying those real bricks down. I know that if anyone tries to destroy my wall/confidence that it’s going to be a lot more difficult because I believe in and am proud every brick I have laid to get to where I am. Yesterday we discussed setting up for a KB deadlift. Today, we want to show you what the top of your lift position should look like. • To the left, you see @alextanskey hips are all the way through, but he is leaning back. This position adds unnecessary stress to your spine. • On the right, he demonstrates a lockout position where all his joints are stacked. To achieve this position, make sure you initiate the deadlift from your feet. It’s important to remember no matter what exercise you are performing, set up is you first rep. Getting in the right position to begin an exercise, sets you up for success. • Today let’s discuss setting up for the KB deadlift: 1. Make sure the bell is positioned between your feet. The handle should be near in line with your ankles. 2. Instead of reaching down for the bell, think about sitting your hips back as far as you can. 3. As you sit back bend your knees so your chest stays over the bell, instead of out in front of it.  4. Once there, reach down and place a firm grip on the handle. As 2018 comes to a close I can't help but think about all the 'moments' that I'm proud of. I did ALOT of personal growth and change this year .. I am not the same person. My proudest moment was truly seeing, and wholeheartedly accepting, ME.
