Today I am proud! I’m proud because I have come this far. I’m proud because I never quit on myself. I’m proud that I finally built up enough courage to walk into Target and try jeans on. I’ve made the 20 minute trip to Target two other times this month and couldn’t bring myself to actually go in and try on pants. You may think that’s silly but for me it was a real fear. The dressing room has always been a dreaded place for me and I still had to get myself into the right mindset to do it this time. I’m not just proud because the first time in my ENTIRE life I fit into a single digit pant size, but I’m proud of the fact that I can overcome fears now with simple talks to myself instead of comfort from food.
